I dunno if Fail Friday will be back permanently, but I had this & just went with it.
I've had pretty bad results with water marbling. They're getting better, but I STILL can't figure out how I'm getting bubbles. I think once I get that and what polishes will work down I'll be much better at this.
Here's what I used: Zoya Shawn, China Glaze Trendsetter, Sally Hansen Yellow Kitty, & NYX Girls Hunter Green. I also used a green shimmer on my index & middle fingers, but I can't remember which one.
See what I mean about the bubbles? My TC smudged my index, I didn't like the way the shimmer looked on my middle finger so I stopped using it. I dipped my ring & pinky fingers at the same time which is why my ring finger doesn't really look marbled.
I think I'll try this combo again once I figure out the bubble culprit as I like these colors together.
What do y'all think???

*Fail Friday* On HOLD........
There will not be a Fail Friday post this week. AND, since College Football starts next week, I'm going to start doing Football Friday posts throughout the season.
I'm a HUGE fan of UGA football and have been known to do mani's and make-up to show that pride.
I may even throw a few different teams in since my SO is also a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, but I WILL NOT do another SEC team OR GA Tech. Sorry, just won't happen.
BUT I do encourage you to do your own team. If you'd like to do a guest post with your own team, let me know.
There are now 8 days until the Dawgs season starts!!!

*Fail Friday* - I can't polish/clean-up.......Guest spot by Zoya Marley
What I have to show you today really isn't so much considered a fail, except my polish job looks horrible. I can't even remember when I took these pics or did this swatch.
I absolutely LOVE this color and really don't have much to say about it. I love Zoya as well. I believe I have 24 colors.....with a ton more on my wishlist.
Now, to my horrible pictures...

*Fail Friday* - Splatter mani gone too far...
So....I wanted to try a splatter mani. If you haven't seen this yet, the lovely Jen over at The PolishAholic has a tutorial HERE, and has done several beautiful ones.
Here's the polishes I chose, as I wanted to do kind of a retro one.
I showed you Color Club Uptown Dash yesterday, that's what I used as my base color. I need to remind myself to get some smaller straws and attempt this again.
2 fingers with Essie Sand Tropez (forgot to take a pic until I started on my next color). of course I taped around my nails.
Now enters Essie Little Brown Dress.
I should've really stopped here, but didn't. I wanted to follow through with my original idea.........even if it turned out to be a fail.
Essie Coat Azure.....actually I think this looks fine. THIS is where I really should've stopped.
Lastly, WnW Toss Me A LIFESAVERS
Here's what it looked like after I removed the tape. A HOT MESS!!! I didn't even bother doing any clean-up because I removed this right after I took the pics.
Next time I'll definitely try with smaller straws.

*Fail Friday* - Holo Glitter Shatter Fail
My last 2 posts have shown my steps up to this fail.
I recently used some of the $3.50 off $10 purchase coupons at Ulta and got OPI Silver & Turquoise shatters along with 4 Ulta polishes on clearance. Each transaction was $7.40 which is less than just getting the shatters at regular price.
I now have all but the blue shatter by OPI and well the Pink when it comes out in Oct/Sept. I swatched these on a wheel first & used the same method as I would with Black Shatter. Very thin coat on dry polish. WELL, I didn't do these thin and it shows.
So, this is my Holo Glitter Shatter Fail.
I'll have to use these again & make sure I use a thin coat!

*Fail Friday* - The epic fail of hair. - Part 4
For the past month I've been showing y'all my hair fail. You can see PART 1, PART 2, and PART 3 by clicking the names.
I left off on my last post showing what Truffle looked like on my hair, brownish/purple. I let that stay on my hair for a week then went over it with the L'Oreal Hi-Lites in Red. It stayed in my hair for I think 2 weeks before I started noticing the fading of it. I then went and purchased a cheap box of dark brown hair color to put over it. I honestly can't remember which order these pics are in as far as what was on my hair at that time, but I do have the date for them. So, here they are....
Above is the pic of the cheap brown that I got. I haven't taken a pic since I put this on, but it looked just like the chic on the box, but maybe a tad darker. It's faded a little bit so it looks kinda ashy, but I'm leaving it alone.
I'm trying to decide if I want to keep my hair short and go get it cut or let it grow out and just go get it trimmed.
SO, until my hair starts looking normal again I'm leaving it alone, other than taking care of it.

*Fail Friday* - The epic fail of hair. - Part 3
You can see PART1 and PART2 by clicking the names.
Now, I left off with the pink/orange/yellow looking hair, which once dry looked like this.
Really, it's not too bad, but just wasn't me. So I read online how to remove color without chemicals. I mixed some shampoo with crushed up vitamin c pills & let it sit on my hair for about 45 minutes. I probably could've done it longer, but it was dripping out of the cap & down my neck soaking a towel. I washed that out & used conditioner and this is the result.
I didn't get it all out, but I got a good bit out. By this time I was just frustrated & went with L'Oreal Mega Browns in Truffle. I'd previously used it HERE and had it this color before I put the red on the first time.
This is what it looked like after Truffle.
Sorry my hair was still a slight bit wet in this picture, but you can see the purple.
But wait........there's more..........you just have to wait until next week!!! LoL

*Fail Friday* - The epic fail of hair. - Part 2
If you read last week's Fail Friday, this is part 2.
I left you with a picture showing my first bleaching attempt. I realized I needed it more "white" than "yellow blonde" so I went to Sally's. I walked to the hair stuff and got the 30 vol developer that I needed and grabbed THIS, but I honestly can't remember if I grabbed the blue or purple.
The sales lady asked what I was planning to do, I even showed her my hair that was hidden under a hat, and told me I had the completely wrong thing. I told her what I'd previously used and she told me I needed that again. Reluctantly, I said ok, figuring she knew better than I did.
BOY was I wrong and luckily I haven't seen her at that store since. Here's what it looked like.
This is my I'M NOT A HAPPY CAMPER face. Yes, it was lighter BUT IT WAS STILL YELLOW! And still in some places orange.
By this result I was fed up. I said F-IT. I didn't want to bleach my hair AGAIN and cause more damage. I didn't want to go to the store because I might have been hauled off to jail......even though I know some people that work there I don't want to go there.
I said to myself, this is going to have to do. The next day I went ahead & mixed up the red color which looked like this.
I slathered my hair up & let it marinate. This is what I ended up with.......
What happens when you mix red over yellow..........THIS SHIT. A orangy pink.
I'm still really pissed about it, but you'll have to wait to hear more.
....to be continued

*Fail Friday* - The epic fail of hair. - Part 1
I'm going to break this up into probably about 2-3 parts, but not completely sure yet.
Let me show you a pic of how my hair started out.
I think I'd colored my hair just a few days prior to this picture. This was on darkish brown hair using L'Oreal HiColor HiLights for Dark Hair Only in the color Red from Sally's.
Yes I color my hair red, I started out with red hair that turned brown as I got older. It totally doesn't suit me. For those of us who dye our hair red, we know it fades fast. This didn't really fade much, but about a month or so later I started having root issues. I had some bleach powder & decided I wanted to see what this color looked like over bleached hair.
I had the regular white bleach powder but only had 10vol developer. Rather than wait, I went ahead with the 10 vol. & ended up with this.
As you can see, it's blonde/yellow at the roots & orange everywhere else.

*Fail Friday* - Patriotic
I'm drafting this post like 2 1/2 weeks in advance. Hopefully by the time the 4th rolls around I'll have figured out a good patriotic mani.
I saw this post by Tami over at Gettin Girlie and was in awe. I immediately thought, MAYBE I can do something patriotic with it. So, here we go.
I started off using 2 coats of each: Zoya America (Red), Orly White French Tip(White, DUH), and Zoya Tart (Blue). My son actually liked this part.
I should have left it like this, but y'all know me by now. I can't just stop when I should.
I really need dotting tools. I have a very tiny one with a brush on the other end, but that's it. So, I use ends of paint brushes. For these dots I used the end of a brush for the larger ones & then my LA Colors Art Deco Stripers in Red glitter, White, and Silver glitter.
If you think this looks good, thank you. I think it looks like a hot mess.

*Fail Friday* - Bali Dust
Today's Fail Friday is brought to you by Seche Vite.
A few weeks ago I was playing with colors & swatched Sinful Colors Bali Mist. Then I added China Glaze Fairy Dust to it. The next morning, while taking pictures in the sun, I noticed HORRIBLE shrinkage that wasn't there the night before.
I don't know if it's because of the sun, but the pics above look lighter than the pics below which were taken inside.

*Fail Friday* - Lollytoon
I've seen several newspaper mani's & decided to give it a go. I read somewhere that someone wanted to try it with the cartoons in the paper and saw a post recently where someone actually did it. I can't, for the life of me, remember now where I saw it.
I wanted to do something different. I wanted to try it on a bright pink polish and use just the font from the toon.
I grabbed Zoya Lolly....which I seem to have issues when applying this polish and none with Phoebe.
I looked through the paper and grabbed Dilbert.
I used two different methods & didn't have luck with either. Dipping the nail into rubbing alcohol for 20-30 seconds then applying the paper & dipping the paper directly into the alcohol then applying it to the nail. I'm not sure if it was the polish used, the paper having been a few weeks old, or that I didn't hold it down long enough. Possibly even a combo.
