Star Wars Day with Victorian Disco Cosmetics

I apologize for not getting this up sooner, but I felt like poo yesterday.  As any of us geeks know, today is May 4th, also known as Star Wars Day.  I recently ordered and received some shadows from Victorian Disco Cosmetics and only thought it appropriate that I wear some today.

So, I'll show you what I got and swatches before my face.

Mini Jar's: Wookie Noises, Millennium Falcon, Skywalker, & Health Pack.  Baggies: Symmetrical Garden, Ewok Pajama Party, & Emperor  (Click links to see color descriptions)

Close-up's of the mini jar's.

I swatched these on bare skin.  Amazing color payoff.  Even better over a primer and/or primer/base.

Now to my eyes & face....

Eyes:
  • UDPP - Original
  • Maybelline Color Tattoo - Tough As Taupe (lid slightly into crease)
  • VDC - Emperor (lid)
  • VDC - Millennium Falcon (crease and lower lash line)
  • VDC - Skywalker (Brow/highlight)
  • Josie Maran Raven Eyeliner
  • Garden Botanika Lash Primer
  • Maybelline Falsies Mascara - Blackest Black
  • Maybelline Define-a-brow - Medium Brown
Face:
  • Maybelline FIT Me Foundation - 115
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - Translucent
  • Coastal Scents 10 blush palette - used 2 diff pinks
  • Brazen Cosmetics - Goodbye To You Eye Brightener - Light
  • ELF HD Powder
Lips:
  • Concrete Minerals Sexy Lips Lip Tint - Karma

Overall, these shadows are amazing.  As with most mineral shadows, a little goes a long way.  As I mentioned with the swatches, the color payoff is awesomesauce.  For some reason, my camera didn't pick up the sparkle in Emperor, but it's there. Prices are $1.00(for baggies),  $2.00(for 1 gram mini jar's), and $4.50(for a full size 2 gram jar). All products are hand mixed, vegan, and cruelty free.  She also lists on each product if it's lip safe or not.

I will definitely be ordering MORE from VDC.   I absolutely MUST have the Azeroth Collection....or at least a few of them.  Such as Exodar Waffle House, /Flex, Hero Class, Mojo, Shadowform(love my spriest), Aura, The Earth Warder(black&red are my fav colors), The Great Lift, Undercity, Wintergrasp, Zangermarsh, For The Alliance(alliance FTW!), Shepard's Gate, Under The Outland Skies.  And I definitely must own the lipgloss in Buffs Plz! though they're all beautiful.

Be sure to check out her shop and get some amazing colors.

LATER Y'ALL & MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU!!!

Note:  All products in this post were purchased by me.  With exception to the Garden Botanika primer which was part of an Influenster VoxBox and the Concrete Minerals Lip Tint which I won from a twitter giveaway.  All opinions are, as always, my own.

Brazen Mail!!!

Recently I announced to y'all that I'm a Brazen Beauty.  Well I placed my 2nd order and just got it in.  Let me say I'm so excited to play with this stuff!!!

What I ordered: Turn It Up(Eyeshadow), Sugar Lip Scrub in Chocolate Cupcake, and Paint The Town lipgloss which is flavored as one of my fav mixed drinks.  I also received some samples that I can't wait to try: Goodbye To Youhttp://brazencosmetics.com/gty05.aspx Eye Brightening Concealer & a sample baggie of Punk Rock Pixie.

I'm about to go try some of this stuff right now & of course, I'll give a full review of it later.  The lip stuff smells amazing and I've only taken the plastic seal off.

OH, btw, check out this cute tape that was on my envelope.

If you want anything you see here, or anything else as she does have other colors/flavors of lip gloss, be sure to click on my banner in the sidebar....or just click HERE

Playing with Brazen Cosmetics + I'm a Brazen Beauty!

As some of you may(or may not) have seen from a few previous post.  I am officially a Brazen Beauty.  I did show you the Get Lucky trio last month, but today I'm going to show you 5 colors I received in my welcome package.....and a look I did with 2 of the colors.

My swatches below are on the top of my hand over ELF eyeshadow primer.  I tilted my hand at a few different angles so y'all could see these pretties. Click them to view larger images.

These are my descriptions which may vary from the website...

~ Aphrodisiac: A pink-y lilac with pink & green shimmer. This is not yet available, so you get a preview. :D
~ Pharoah: A metallic gold with green & gold shimmer.
~ Music Box: A teal with blue & green shimmer.  Will definitely have to use this as a liner.
~ Catcall: A brick red/orange with pink & gold shimmer.  This is also not available yet, but I really love this.  Can't wait to do a look with it.
~ Tawdry: A milk chocolate brown with lavender & pink shimmer. Also not yet available, but looks AMAZING with Aphrodisiac.  I'll show you what they look like together soon.

EYES:
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion - Original
  • NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil - Milk
  • Brazen Pharoah - all over the lid and bottom corner of the eye.
  • Brazen Music Box - in the crease
  • Korpse Kozmetics Virgin Slut - brow and inner corner.
  • BH Cosmetics BHCM06(Purple) - lower lash line
  • Milani Liquif'Eye pencil in Black
  • Maybelline Falsies mascara in Black
  • Maybelline Define-A-Brow in Light Brown on brows.

FACE:
  • Benefit The Porefessional primer
  • Revlon Colorstay Combo/Oily - 150 Buff Chamois
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - Translucent
  • Bright Pink blush from Coastal Scents 10 blush palette
  • ELF HD Powder
  • Wet N Wild 521A on lips.

I have to say this was my first time playing with this much color, other than trying to do a holiday look.   I was afraid of the brighter colors, but once I applied them I fell in love.  One of the many definitions of Brazen is shameless and bold.  I wore this for about 10 hours and even went to the grocery store.  I didn't get any weird looks.  This was also my first time wearing bright pink lipstick.....which I purchased to match a Brazen gloss I have on the way :D

All this bright color broke me out of my neutral shell and makes me want to use color for more than just my nails.  What do you think?  Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Don't forget you can visit Brazen anytime by clicking HERE or by clicking my banner in the sidebar.  She's got lots of exciting new products on the way, and I'll be sure to let you know when they're available.

LATER Y'ALL!!!

~Note: The Brazen Cosmetics products used in this post were sent for review in exchange for my 100% honest opinion.  All other products used were purchased by me or someone else for me.

My Get Lucky With Green look with Brazen Cosmetics

I had to re-type that title a few times, you'd think I'd started the drinking already.  As you may or may not have noticed, I have a Brazen  banner on the right sidebar.  I am now a Brazen Beauty.  :D

Today I want to show you the Get Lucky With Green trio.  I have some other colors to show you later, but I wanted to get these up like ASAP since I was playing with them today.
These will be available in Mini(3g) and Full(5g) sized trio's.  The prices for these are $11.99 for the 3g and $16.99 for the 5g.  The 5g trio will also come with a green glitter gloss called Kiss Me, I'm Irish.  Both sized sets will come wrapped in a green organza bag and a St. Patrick's button.

Because I am a Brazen Beauty, I was able to pre-order these and get them in sample baggie sizes.  My picture of the baggies was horrible and didn't quite pick up the colors well, so here they are swatched on my arm.

The left is with flash and right is under my lamp.  I swatched this with my ELF Eyeshadow primer on the left side of each swatch.  Top to bottom (aka light to dark) we have: Charmed, Get Lucky, and Fortuitous.

  • Charmed is a light spring-y green with yellow/gold duochrome shimmer.
  • Get Lucky is a beautiful grassy green with gold shimmer.
  • Fortuitous is a deep forest(almost black) green with gold shimmer.
Each of these are beautiful and a little really does go a long way.  The color payoff is AMAZING and I found I had to go with less than I do with the "Big Box Minerals" that I've wore in the past.  I was able to blend these rather easily as well.  Now I'll stop rambling and show you the goodies. :D

 Eyes:
  • UDPP Original
  • NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Rocky Mountain Green on the lid going up into the crease.
  • Brazen Fortuitous in the crease & outer V.
  • Brazen Get Lucky on the lid blending up into the crease.
  • Brazen Charmed on the inner corner & blended up to the brow/crease.
  • Korpse Kosmetics Virgin Slut under the brow blending into Brazen Charmed.
  • ELF Cream Eyeliner in Metallic Olive
  • Dark green from Wet N Wild Snow Sprite palette to set the liner.
  • Garden Botanika Lash Primer
  • Maybelline Falsies mascara in Blackest Black
  • Maybelline Define-A-Brow in Light Brown

I really like going dark & full of green for St. Patrick's Day.  Since I go dark with the eyes, the rest of the face is basic, but here's what it looks like.  :D

 Face:
  • Revlon ColorStay Foundation for Combo/oily in 130 Buff Chamois
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 001 Transparent
  • ELF Blush/Bronzer duo - used Bronzer only to contour
  • LA Colors Pink Blush
  • ELF HD Powder (though I've heard AMAZING things about the Brazen HD powder & need to order it).
Lips:
  • EMBE Messina Matte lipstick(from what I can tell EMBE is no longer in business sorry.  And I know this lipstick is old, but I love it and rarely use it).
  • Essence Surfer Babe gloss in Hang Loose

Be sure to visit Brazen to check out these and the wide variety of vegan shadows and face products that they carry.

TOODLES Y'ALL!!!
