Holo Christmas Splatter & Stamping

Hey y'all!  Today I have my Christmas mani to share.  I had a dozen different ideas in my head, but once I saw this post from Copycat Claws, I knew what to do.  Of course, I HAD to do it holo style.

I also had some new stuff I bought from BornPretty Store & wanted to try it out.

For the splatter nails I started out with Butter London Knees Up as my base then applied Darling Diva The Alchemist on top.

Once that was dry I applied my liquid latex to protect the skin & used a small straw for the splatter.  The shades I used were ILNP A Fresh Evergreen and MakeUp Store Greta.

The Alchemist is so darn pretty on its own that I almost didn't cover it up, but yanno...you can never have too much holo.

On my ring and pinky fingers I applied Nubar Reclaim as my base color & stamped over it with Butter London Knees Up.

The stamper and plate were both from BPS & I'll have them linked below.  Of the 2 recent stampers I purchased from them, this one seems to work better for me.

This was pretty quick and easy to do.  I absolutely LOVE it.

Zoya - Seashells Pixie Dust Collection - Summer 2016

*Press Sample*

Hey y'all!  Today I have the last collection that I received during my blogging hiatus & wanted to share it with y'all.  I know it's late, but better late than never.  This is the Seashells collection that was released over the summer.

I only needed 2 coats for all of these, and since they're pixie dusts I didn't use a top coat.  They always dry pretty quickly too.

Tilly - Can be best described as a starry grey with small holographic glitter interwoven with a darker gunmetal - It's so sparkly that the camera didn't really want to pick it up.  The gunmetal glitters look almost blue.  My favorite out of the collection.

Levi - Can be best described as a beige gold with medium holographic hex glitter - I totally didn't expect to like this as much as I did, but I think the holo sparkle in it won me over.

Zooey - Can be best described as a classic pink laced with gold & medium hex holo glitters - It's like a tulip pink with a dash of gold glitter.  So pretty.

zoya cece seashells pixie dust review swatches

zoya cece seashells pixie dust review swatches
Cece - Can be best described as a full impact green with a thin vein of gold - The depth of green in this looks like there's multiple shades and the gold just adds to it.

zoya linds seashells pixie dust review swatches

zoya linds seashells pixie dust review swatches
Linds - Can be best described as a cherry red with red and fuchsia glitters - I noticed a slight bit of gold in this too that doesn't seem to translate too much onto the nail.  This one also looks kinda wet even when it's dry.  Definitely a winner.

Bay - Can be best described as a sky blue with fine silver and gold glitter - This blue is frosty, and reminds me of Frozen.

While I liked all of these, even though I'm not really THAT huge of a fan of texture, these shades give off more Winter vibes than they do Summer vibes.  Is it just me?

These are currently available on Zoya.com for $10ea.

Zoya Sunsets Marble

Hey y'all!  Today I have a marble design that I did with the Sunsets collection.  It was quick and easy, using decals that I made using all of the shades.

I threw an ombre in there too for a little something different, so lets get right to it.

Starting with the index finger, I used Dory as the base, marbled with Ness and Cam.

Middle finger is Liv as the base, marbled with Cam and Ness.  The ring finger ombre is Dixie as the base with Brynn and Liv.

Lastly, on the pinky nail, is Dixie as the base, marbled with Dory and Liv.

I like marbling a LOT better now making decals on my UberChic mat than I ever did when I tried to watermarble.

Zoya - Sunsets Collection - 2016 Summer

*Press Sample*

Hey y'all!  Today I have another collection that I received during my blogging hiatus & wanted to share it with y'all.  I know it's late, but better late than never.  This is the Sunsets collection that was released over the summer.

All of these are super opaque, bright, fun cream colors. I used 2 coats in my swatches, with Seche Vite to top it off, but they could easily be 1 coaters.

Cam - Can be best described as a deep, fully saturated orange....like a tangerine. - It's almost "Blogger" orange, seriously looks very similar to the icon on my screen as I type this.  It's like a deep Halloween-y orange.

Ness - Can be best described as a softened jade green with a hint of blue....reminiscent of sea glass - I can see that, but this also makes me think of a dusky grassy green.  Maybe even a shade to be considered the Pantone 2017 color of the year?

Dixie - Can be best described as a juicy watermelon red - I see more pink in this, like berry pink.  Definitely one of my fav's.

zoya brynn sunsets swatches review

Brynn - Can be best described as a popsicle pink - This is kinda bubblegum pink for me, or maybe I'm not imagining a popsicle.....

zoya dory sunsets swatches review

Dory - Can be best described as a vibrant cornflower blue - I can see that & it's aptly named.  A beautiful ocean-like, beachy blue.

zoya liv sunsets swatches review

zoya liv sunsets swatches review
Liv - Can be best described as a fun-filled purple - It's almost Barney purple, but also kind of looked mauve-y purple when I applied it.

As you can see in my photo's above, camera settings (and display settings) can play a HUGE part in how swatches look.  In each one I had a different setting on my camera so I used one from each setting to show you how they can look in different light.  These were so easy to apply and I did a fun nail art post that I'll have up in a few days.

These are now currently available on Zoya.com for $10ea.

All of these could be 2 coaters, but I did 3 because they were all kinda sheer....and as usual used Seche Vite as my topcoat.

April - Can be best described as a light, rosy toned neutral that is a modern take on blush - A pinky tan nude cream that is almost a crelly formula.

Cala - Can be best described as a soft nude with a kiss of warmth - Almost a yellowish tan beige crelly.  Not sure how I feel about it with my skin tone though.

Eastyn - Can be best described as a subtle grayed grape - More like a taupe purple shade. This is one that's not too sheer.

Misty - Can be best described as an easy to wear taupe that is an updated version of gray with just a touch of green - I noted this as a green-ish brown crelly.  I see more brown than gray in this.
