Hey y'all! Today I have a recent mani that I did & wore for a few weeks. I wanted something winter-y, but not completely dark and drab. So this is what I came up with.
This was super easy to do, and of course I added a little sparkle as well. Per the usual, I used Seche Vite as my top coat.
Index: China Glaze Change Your Altitude & Fairy Dust
Middle: Sinful Colors Snow Me White(base), China Glaze Change Your Altitude, China Glaze Wine Down For What?, & chevron tape from Born Pretty Store.
Ring: China Glaze Change Your Altitude(Base). China Glaze Wine Down For What? & black acrylic paint for spots.
Pinky: China Glaze Wine Down For What? & Fairy Dust
I absolutely LOVED this mani and hated taking it off.

Holo Christmas Splatter & Stamping
Hey y'all! Today I have my Christmas mani to share. I had a dozen different ideas in my head, but once I saw this post from Copycat Claws, I knew what to do. Of course, I HAD to do it holo style.
I also had some new stuff I bought from BornPretty Store & wanted to try it out.
For the splatter nails I started out with Butter London Knees Up as my base then applied Darling Diva The Alchemist on top.
Once that was dry I applied my liquid latex to protect the skin & used a small straw for the splatter. The shades I used were ILNP A Fresh Evergreen and MakeUp Store Greta.
The Alchemist is so darn pretty on its own that I almost didn't cover it up, but yanno...you can never have too much holo.
On my ring and pinky fingers I applied Nubar Reclaim as my base color & stamped over it with Butter London Knees Up.
The stamper and plate were both from BPS & I'll have them linked below. Of the 2 recent stampers I purchased from them, this one seems to work better for me.

Navy Starry Night Wedding Nails
Hey y'all! Back in October, of last year, my sister got married. Of course, I haven't been to a wedding in a while, and none of my dresses looked right. Thankfully I found one, but as us polish addicts know trying to do the nails is usually another difficult choice. The dress, super easy.
My dress was navy with orange/red flowers and tan/green foliage. The first mani I came up with was a total fail.
So, for my 2nd attempt I went the super easy route.
I started out with a base color of Rimmel Midnight Blue. It's so dark that it's almost black.
Over top of that I used China Glaze Fairy Dust to add some sparkle.
And for the accent nail, I went with OPI DS Glamour. It's the polish that re-started my addiction back around the time I started blogging.
Super easy, and they lasted for at least a week. :D

Win or Fail - Navy & Orange Wedding Nails
Hey y'all! So back in October, of last year, my little sister got married. My dress was super easy to find, but as usual the nails were the difficult part.
I thought I'd do something easy, and with colors that matched the dress. Little did I know that I'd absolutely hate what I ended up with.
For this I used Zoya Ember and Lauren B. House of Blues to create an ombre, with the accent nail being a reverse of the others.
Then I added China Glaze Fairy Dust, because usually it makes everything look great.
THEN I went even further and added OPI Servin' Up Sparkle over the accent nail, so it wasn't left out....and hated it even more.
I mean, it doesn't really look THAT bad, but I was SOOOOO not happy with it. What do y'all think?

Red/Black/Silver Football Colors Mani
Hey y'all! As today is my birthday I thought I would share a favorite mani that I recently did. It incorporates the colors from both of my fav football teams, the Atlanta Falcons and the Georgia Bulldogs. This could really work for any team with those colors, or you could change it up to suit your colors.
I wanted to do something with the 3 colors that would be different than I have done before. I am horrible at stamping, so I decided to try marble stamping. And this is how it turned out.
The base colors for the index and ring fingers are Sally Hansen Silver Sweep with Make Up Store Greta over top, while the base for the middle and pinky fingers is OPI Coca-Cola Red.
For the ring finger I went a little basic. With the stripes down the sides of pants, I did a somewhat thick stripe of red with Wet N Wild Black Creme on each side. It left most of the holo open and easy to see.
Then for the rest of the nails I used a marble stamping technique using OPI Coca-Cola Red, Wet N Wild Black Creme, Sally Hansen Silver Sweep, and Make Up Store Greta.
I wasn't 100% perfect at it, but I did get it to transfer in spots and made it look different.
Messy, but pretty....at least I think so.
I really hated taking these off when it was time, and definitely plan to try to perfect this technique.

Star Wars Christmas Mashup Mani
Happy Christmas Eve y'all!!! So, the kiddo doesn't know it yet, but tomorrow night(Christmas Day) we are going to see the latest Star Wars movie, so NO SPOILERS PLEASE. Because of that, I wanted to do a Star Wars & Christmas mashup on my nails. He watched me do my nails, and LOVED them, and still has no idea.
Now while I'm still not 100% happy with them, I do love them. I guess it's the perfectionist in me & knowing that I can do better. They were pretty easy to do and I'll link the tutorials for where I got the inspiration on each of these from.
I used a LONG list of polishes, so I'll be sure to list everything down below as well.
For the lightsabers, my inspiration came from a recent video by Simply Nailogical, which you can see HERE. Though the only acrylic paint I used was the white, I did use polishes to paint over the white....because HOLO!
Blue Lightsaber: Wet N Wild Black Creme, Color Club Blue Heaven, & Revlon Royal
Green Lightsaber: Wet N Wild Black Creme, Nubar Reclaim, & Verity B24 Aqua Blue
Red Lightsaber: Wet N Wild Black Creme, ILNP Very Ornamental, & Wet N Wild I Red A Good Book
Christmas tree accent: China Glaze Angel Wings, ILNP A Fresh Evergreen, & stars from Salon Perfect Star Spangled. Tutorial can be found HERE!
I took this shot outside with my cell phone using the flash. Because we're having crappy weather, and I finished late at night, it was dark outside & I knew I wouldn't be able to get a full sun pic.
About the only thing I would do differently is maybe not use holo for the sabers? or use a glow in the dark over the white. What do y'all think?

Red, Black, & Silver Holo Georgia Bulldogs Mani
Hey y'all! With the official start of college football, I had to do some UGA nails. I guess they could be Atlanta Falcons themed too, but I love my Bulldogs! I went a little trigger happy with the camera, so there are TONS of pics.
These are actually kind of a 3-in-1 design. This could be just solid colors or have holo added, like I did, for some extra flair. You could also stop at any point or make any changes. In fact, you could swap out & use the colors of your choosing....which is what nail art is all about.
This is how this mani started. I used OPI Coca-Cola Red, then sponged Wet N Wild Black Creme onto half of the nail. I sponged it on separately so that it looked more rough and not blended as it would have if I'd applied both the red and black polishes to the sponge.
For the accent nail, I started out with Color Club Harp On It as my base. Once that was dry I applied some chevron vinyls and brushed on WnW Black Creme then Pretty & Polished Black Swan quickly before removing the vinyls. Then I just put on a coat of Seche Vite.
Of course I wasn't fully satisfied, even though I liked it....so I kept adding to it.
I grabbed the sponge again & applied Red Friday by Darling Diva Polish and Black Swan by Pretty & Polished over the red/black gradient. This added more holo to balance out the accent nail.
I had to add a little something else to take it one more step further, so I grabbed my white acrylic paint. I am sloppy when it comes to writing on a curved surface with a very pointed dotting tool, but it works. I think the "GO DAWGS" finished it off perfectly.
Once I was finished I took a few pics outside with my phone as well as a couple macro shots.
So what do y'all think? Excited for the return of college football? Who do you cheer for?

KBShimmer - Up And Cunning
Hey y'all! I've been wanting a holo like this for a while & while it satisfied that lemming, now I want more. I absolutely LOVE this gorgeousness.
I went a little trigger happy when taking pictures of this, so I'm just going to get right to it.
Up And Cunning is a deep teal, almost green, linear holo.
It applied perfectly in just 2 coats, before adding a coat of Seche Vite.
Now I want to get lighter teal/aqua holo's.
Now for some cell phone macro's and outside pics.
These pics below were all taken with my phone outside in full sun.
So if you're in the market for a teal holo, I highly recommend this one.
