Holo Christmas Splatter & Stamping

Hey y'all!  Today I have my Christmas mani to share.  I had a dozen different ideas in my head, but once I saw this post from Copycat Claws, I knew what to do.  Of course, I HAD to do it holo style.

I also had some new stuff I bought from BornPretty Store & wanted to try it out.

For the splatter nails I started out with Butter London Knees Up as my base then applied Darling Diva The Alchemist on top.

Once that was dry I applied my liquid latex to protect the skin & used a small straw for the splatter.  The shades I used were ILNP A Fresh Evergreen and MakeUp Store Greta.

The Alchemist is so darn pretty on its own that I almost didn't cover it up, but yanno...you can never have too much holo.

On my ring and pinky fingers I applied Nubar Reclaim as my base color & stamped over it with Butter London Knees Up.

The stamper and plate were both from BPS & I'll have them linked below.  Of the 2 recent stampers I purchased from them, this one seems to work better for me.

This was pretty quick and easy to do.  I absolutely LOVE it.

Star Wars Christmas Mashup Mani

Happy Christmas Eve y'all!!!  So, the kiddo doesn't know it yet, but tomorrow night(Christmas Day) we are going to see the latest Star Wars movie, so NO SPOILERS PLEASE.  Because of that, I wanted to do a Star Wars & Christmas mashup on my nails.  He watched me do my nails, and LOVED them, and still has no idea.

Now while I'm still not 100% happy with them, I do love them.  I guess it's the perfectionist in me & knowing that I can do better. They were pretty easy to do and I'll link the tutorials for where I got the inspiration on each of these from.

I used a LONG list of polishes, so I'll be sure to list everything down below as well.

For the lightsabers, my inspiration came from a recent video by Simply Nailogical, which you can see HERE. Though the only acrylic paint I used was the white, I did use polishes to paint over the white....because HOLO!

I took this shot outside with my cell phone using the flash.  Because we're having crappy weather, and I finished late at night, it was dark outside & I knew I wouldn't be able to get a full sun pic.
About the only thing I would do differently is maybe not use holo for the sabers? or use a glow in the dark over the white.  What do y'all think?

I Love Nail Polish - A Fresh Evergreen

Hey y'all!  So today is St. Patty's Day, but I have a Christmas polish to show off.  It is green, so yanno, it's safe.  :D  This is one of the two that I got with birthday money and the first ILNP polishes that I have owned.

A Fresh Evergreen is a GORGEOUS dark green linear holo.  All of the pictures are 3 coats with no topcoat.  Generally, I use a topcoat with all polishes, but this shined on its own.  I've never had an issue with topcoat dulling a holo.

On my thumb is Nubar Reclaim.  As you can tell, ILNP A Fresh Evergreen is a deeper green than Reclaim.  I love them both.

You can find this and all other ILNP polishes at ILNP.com.

And now I leave you with this....

May the luck of the Irish
Lead to happiest heights
And the highway you travel
Be lined with green lights.

May those who love us, love us;
And for those who don't love us,
May God turn their hearts;
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May He turn their ankles,
So we will know them by their limping!

My St. Patrick's Day Nails

I know I'm a lil late with this, but it's been a busy weekend & I wasn't able to do this until late Friday night/early Saturday morning.  If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, I've shared a picture....but here's some better ones.

I used 1 coat of OPI Nail Envy & 1 coat of Orly Bonder as my base.  On my Index finger is 2 coats of ManGlaze Matte Is Murder, ManGlaze Santorum sponged over that, then a plain white polish lightly sponged on the tips to resemble a glass of Guinness....with a top coat of SH Insta-Dri.  All other fingers are 2 coats of Nubar Reclaim with ManGlaze NawSome Sauce on the tips.

Below are pics under my lamp with my AWESOME bracelet.

Now some flash pictures to show the beautiful holo...

And one I took with my phone while partying!!!
I hope everyone had as great of a day as I did.  I really loved this mani, but made a few mistakes in the execution.  I was rushing, painting in the dark, and watching The Boondock Saints.

What do y'all think?

Layering with piCture pOlish Voodoo

The other day I showed you Voodoo by piCture pOlish which you can see by clicking HERE.  Gorgeous color.  I'm not going to say a lot in this post but let you know what I've done.

My first attempt at layering Nubar 2010 is over this polish.  Lets just say I'm totally in love with Voodoo and 2010 together.

I recently ordered a few polishes from beautyjoint.com and one of them was KleanColor Chunky Holo Black.  I wasn't happy with my initial swatch photo's of Voodoo, so I swatched it again and layered this over it.  The difference between this and 2010 is that these are glitters and not flakes.  There's very tiny glitters and hexagonal glitters in this one.  All of these were taken under my lamp.

What do you think?  Which is your favorite?  I love both & might try layering both one time.

TOODLES Y'ALL!!!
