Pretty & Polished Sand Art

Finally......I have Sand Art by itself.  I was super excited to get this polish over the summer and even wore it on my vacation.  You can check out that mani HERE

First, I'm going to show Sand Art by itself....without a top coat.  This is 3 coats over a glue base.

Now, with top coat....

I do suggest wearing either a few coats of top coat or Gelous + a top coat over this.  This is totally packed with green, blue, pink, and purple glitters.  I just grabbed the closest top coat and threw it on....but it's just as shiny without it.  The glitters are matte, but not a dull matte.

This was the first Pretty & Polished I purchased and I love it.  So much that I went and bought Jawbreaker & Black Swan(both of which I've already shown).  I definitely need more.  (psst...my birthday is tomorrow)

You can find Sand Art on Etsy for $8.50. :D

Pretty & Polished Black Swan.....and some UGA dots(pic spam)

This is going to be a long post with lots of pics.  I would have had it up sooner, but between having a sick kiddo & accidentally deleting the pictures off my card...it took a little longer than expected.

So, to the mani.  I started off with 1 coat of Wet N Wild Black Creme and 1 semi-thick coat of Pretty & Polished Black Swan topped off with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat.  Black swan is a black holo that is a bit thin in consistency, which is the reason for using underwear. :D

When I went to take these, the sun was behind the clouds....so I have indoor flash pictures....

Then I wanted to play around with my dotting tools so I grabbed Wet N Wild Black Creme, KleanColor Metallic Red, and Essie No Place Like Chrome(which I got as a Klout perk) along with my dotting tools & went to town.  I used the 3 biggest ones and did a few dots of each size/color, but did not apply a top coat.  I chose these colors as the UGA colors are red & black with silver pants.  Long time radio announcer, Larry Munson, would always say "Go you silver britches!"

I rather like this & I think I might have to try this color combo in a different dotticure later on.

You can purchase Pretty & Polished on Etsy(currently out of stock) or Llarowe(currently in stock).  I picked up KC Metallic Red at a beauty supply store, but you may also be able to find it online or on Ebay.  Essie No Place Like Chrome was sent to me as a Klout Perk, but I believe you can find this at most retailers or e-tailers.

I think that's about enough babbling for now.  Though I'm sure I forgot something.  What do you think of this mani?

Pretty & Polished Jawbreaker

Another indie!  If y'all haven't noticed(or don't follow my FB or Twitter), I've been addicted to indie polishes lately.  I know, I'm kinda behind everyone else...but oh well.

My first Pretty & Polished purchase was Sand Art....which I used for my vacation mani.  I loved it so much that I purchased from P&P again!  Up today is Jawbreaker.  At first I was kinda iffy on this one, but went for it anyway & I'm glad I did.

Below is 3 coats of Jawbreaker over 1 coat of Sally Hansen Lavender Cloud.  I used OPI Nail Envy as my base and China Glaze Fast Forward over Jawbreaker.

Jawbreaker is a sheer white base with various glitter shapes.  The tiny, tiny glitter is purple.  The hex glitters are yellow, pink, blue, and I think green.  There's a tiny bit of a green bar glitter & a red square glitter.  Application was AMAZING.  No flooding, no problem picking up glitter, nothing.  And with a layer of top coat, there's no icky snagging glitter.  In fact, it feels like a jawbreaker, well at least how I remember them feeling.

And this is NO clean-up.  IDK how I managed to have no clean-up needed with my last 2 mani's.  I posted a pic of this, while it was drying, on my personal facebook page & a friend said..."Reminds me of those speckled eggs that taste awful and come out around Easter time."  Which of course made me giggle.

I also picked up Black Swan, which I'll probably be showing soon.  Jawbreaker can be purchased from Etsy HERE (for $8.50) when it's in stock & on Llarowe HERE (for $12) when it's in stock.  You can also see her upcoming Halloween collection HERE.

Eventually, I'll own Punk'd Up Betty, Phat Camp, Beach Bunny, Beach Bum, Valentino, Day Trippin', & probably a ton of others.  If you like any of her polishes that aren't currently in stock, follow her Facebook page to see when they will be listed again.  Sand Art & Jawbreaker usually go pretty fast, as well as some others.

Now I'm off to paint the right hand. :D
