Hey y'all! Today I have a recent mani that I did & wore for a few weeks. I wanted something winter-y, but not completely dark and drab. So this is what I came up with.
This was super easy to do, and of course I added a little sparkle as well. Per the usual, I used Seche Vite as my top coat.
Index: China Glaze Change Your Altitude & Fairy Dust
Middle: Sinful Colors Snow Me White(base), China Glaze Change Your Altitude, China Glaze Wine Down For What?, & chevron tape from Born Pretty Store.
Ring: China Glaze Change Your Altitude(Base). China Glaze Wine Down For What? & black acrylic paint for spots.
Pinky: China Glaze Wine Down For What? & Fairy Dust
I absolutely LOVED this mani and hated taking it off.

SinfulColors - A Class Act
*Press Sample*
Hey y'all! The other day I showed a few of the demi-matte shades from this Back To School collection. There are a total of 27 shades, and I have 10 of those. Today I'm showing 5 of the others.
All of the formula's on these were great and even in just 2 coats. I did use a top coat on these as well.
Summer S-Cool - This is Robin's Egg Blue cream.
Daredevil - This is a pop of neon pink. It's a bubblegum pink with a subtle purple shimmer.
Feel The Vibe - This is a bright splash of juicy orange. It's a cream that makes me think of pumpkin's. Absolutely a fall shade of orange & shockingly my fav color of the collection.
Fig - This is a glistening plum. It has a subtle pinky/purple shimmer & is my 2nd favorite.
Rebel Rose - This is a metallic magenta. In the bottle it looks super similar to Fig, but they are absolutely different. Fig is more of a shimmer while this is a pinky/purple metallic.
PRICE/AVAILABILITY:
$1.99 each at Walgreens and other mass retailers for August & September 2015.

SinfulColors - A Class Act - The Demi-Matte's
*Press Sample*
Hey y'all! Today I have 5 of the back to school collection from SinfulColors to share. The ones you'll see below are some of the demi-matte's, there are 9 available. So lets get right to it.
Demi-matte means these aren't that fully flat matte that we're used to. To me they're more of like a rubbery type matte. To show how the finish is, I did not use top coat with any of these.
Blackboard - 3 coats - This is a demi-matte chalkboard black. The formula is sheer and kinda jelly-ish. It's like a perfectly clean chalkboard at the beginning of the year.
Chalk It Up - 2 coats - This is a demi-matte pistachio green. The formula is pretty opaque. It's like a pastel yellow/green piece of sidewalk chalk.
RADient - 3 coats - This is a demi-matte vibrant raspberry. The formula was sheer and jelly-ish. It looks like a rubbery, shiny, pencil eraser.
Truth or Lavendare - 2 coats - This is a demi-matte creamy lavender. It definitely reminds me of purple sidewalk chalk.
Whiteboard - 3 coats - This is a demi-matte, chalk white. The formula is kinda streaky, but it ends up looking ok. It looks like a white dry erase board.
Overall these are pretty awesome. The dry time, though I didn't actually time it, was pretty even with normal matte polishes. I'll have the other demi-matte's from this collection listed below in case you wish to check them out.
A-Crush: Soft baby blue in a unique demi-matte finish
Hazed: Subdued violet with a demi-matte finish
Pink Break: Demi-matte peachy-pink
V.I.Peach: Soft touch pastel yellow
PRICE/AVAILABILITY:
$1.99 each at Walgreens and other mass retailers for August & September 2015.

SinfulColors - Having A Blast
*Press Samples*
Hey y'all! Today I have all but 1 of the shades from the Having A Blast collection. Some of these are core colors, some are re-releases, and some are limited to this release. If you're looking for something to wear for the July 4th weekend, here ya go!
I used 2 coats for most of the shades, I'll note the ones below that were layered over something in which case I only used 1.
Snow Me White - An opaque basic white cream. This is my go-to for nail art designs & using as a base.
Out Of This World - 1 coat layered over Snow Me White - This is a shimmery white/silver that is sheer enough to need undies. I went with white, but I'm interested to see how it looks over other shades.
Star Blast Off - 1 coat over Snow Me White/Out Of This World - This is a clear based(though mine had a slight red/pinkish tinge that you may be able to see) polish filled with white stars & red/white/blue glitters of various sizes. I didn't have any application problems & was able to get a star without having to fish around.
Green Ocean - 2 coats over Snow Me White - A green jelly base with iridescent flakies & glitters. I've had this one before, but the bottle I had was SUPER gloopy. This wasn't & it was easy to apply.
Hot Spot - Deep cobalt blue metallic with a small amount of shimmer. It makes me think of a blue starry night.
Ruby Ruby - A gorgeous true red cream. PERFECT for anything you need a classic red for.
PRICE/AVAILABILITY:
$1.99 each at Walgreens and other mass retailers for July2015.

Purple Jelly Diamonds
Hey y'all! Today I have another nail art post! Recently I was inspired to do more and I'm challenging myself to do just that. When not doing swatches, I'm trying to get at least one design done a day, and it's working.
I was originally going to share my inspiration on this, but the company refused to answer my request for permission to use a stock photo from their website & would only say "we handle all advertising in house and do not offer sponsorship." EVEN after I told them multiple times that I wasn't asking for money or sponsorship. Now that that little rant is over, keep reading to see what I used....and I hope ya like. :D
I started out with my usual white base(for nail art) of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I find it's a pretty good white & with as much as I use it, I don't want to pay a fortune...so that's even better. Once that was on, I applied a coat of Seche Vite so that I could get started on the next step without waiting forever.
Next I pulled out my cheapy little nail art brush, there's a ton of tutorials on YT on how to cut brushes down or you can purchase tiny ones online. Using Verity Deep Violet and Funky Fingers Power Play, I created random little diamond shapes with a few dots here & there. The design that inspired this kinda had a faded look to the diamonds, so I used jelly polishes to help with that. I probably could have attempted the watercolor technique, but decided against it.
I finished this off with a coat of Seche Vite. I wasn't going to TC it, but I think it helped the diamonds look a little more distressed...and I love it.

Happy Mani
Hey y'all! I'm so HAPPY to share this mani with y'all today. It's something that I absolutely HAD to do, so keep reading...
If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know that a while back I stepped into a BBW store and grabbed this candle as soon as I saw it.
Seeing this was perfect timing too. Growing up, my dad called me Happy. I was out shopping one day and he was on my mind a LOT. Of course I couldn't pass it up, it smells AMAZING too. Also, that same day, I was walking out of a gas station with my drink & happened to see a Mini Cooper in a color of British Racing Green. Something he & I talked about a lot & it made me feel like he was definitely looking over me that day. Oh, and the day before I'd seen a bottle of Ketchup with the phrase "How do you Happy?" *cue Signs by Tesla*
Once I got home I put the candle next to his picture on my mantle. I went back a few weeks later and grabbed another one so I could enjoy the scent and not burn the one I purchased that day. This kinda kicked my inspiration and got the creative juices flowing. I HAD to do a mani to match the candle.
I started out with a base color of Sinful Colors Snow Me White and put a coat of Seche Vite to help it dry quickly.
For the squares, I used a cheapy art brush that I cut into a thin nail art brush. The colors are Finger Paints Grassy Knoll, Fresh Paint #WINNING, and Zoya Hunter. I didn't use a top coat once everything was done because the label on the candle has a bit of texture to it and I wanted the design to have that same sort of feel/look to it.
So that's it. I quite like how it turned out AND that it sparked my creative juices again.
What do y'all think?
