My Captain America Mothers Day nails.

I know I'm a bit late with this, but I had a busy weekend and started feeling sickly again.  My weekend was great, but some plans ended up not working out because of the weather. And today my kiddo graduates from Kindergarten.

This ended up being the 2nd idea I came up with for my nails.  The plan was to go see The Avengers Saturday morning with the kiddo, get some much needed shopping in(which we forgot), wait for my Dad & sister to arrive, then go get some other things done and eat.  Then Sunday we'd planned to go to a Gwinnett Braves (minor league team for the Atlanta Braves) game which was postponed because of rain.  So, my mani ended up being a dual purpose one.  :D

What I used.....OPI Nail Envy, Orly Bonder, NYC French Tip White, Glitter Gal Light As A Feather, striping tape, Glitter Gal Red 3D Holo, OPI DS Glamour, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat, and some star shaped rhinestones.  I wanted a TON of holo for the baseball game, but oh well.  I still liked them.

What do y'all think?

Holo Snowflakes FTW!

What better way to do a Christmas mani than to do a HOLO Christmas mani!  I LOVE the look of blue and silver/white together.

I have to go ahead and get this out of the way, but this was not 100% my own original idea.  I have to credit 2 people.  Never Too Much Glitter has a tutorial HERE for snowflakes.  My accent nail was inspired by a mani that you can see HERE done by The Manicured Monkey.

Now to my mani.  Please keep in mind that I did this kinda overnight while I was having a bout of insomnia + a toothache.  I used the following polishes...

Golden Rose 102, OPI DS Glamour, and Glitter Gal Light As A Feather

I also used a ORLY French Tip White to draw on some snowflakes with my dotting tool and a toothpick as you'll see below.  I used 2 coats of Glamour on 4 fingers and then Light As A Feather on my ring finger.  THEN, I drew snowflakes over Glamour and using some thin striping tape put some Glamour over top of Light As A Feather.

I couldn't leave the white alone so I took some of the Golden Rose 102 and alternated it with Light As A Feather over top of the white.

I really really really love this.  I wish I had a green holo so I could do a red/green/gold look.  I might be able to arrange that though with some Spectraflair top coat that I have.  :D

Now I'm trying to decide if I want to leave this alone and go ahead with the same idea on the right hand....OR take off everything but my ring finger and do Glamour + Light as a Feather on the rest of my fingers to match but yet be opposite.  I'm doing some family pics this weekend and really don't want to look too Christmas-y.

*Football Friday* Glitter Gal Red 3D Holo via Llarowe

This is the last beauty I got from Llarowe to show y'all.

Glitter Gal Red 3D Holo is so gorgeous!  It starts out looking like a strawberry red and finishes as a beautiful red linear holo polish.  I'm absolutely IN LOVE with this polish.  And as a UGA fan who bleeds red & black, this is totally perfect!  I just wish I had a stamp with puppy feet to put on this.

My pics below are 2 coats over a SH base coat with SH Insta-Dri over top.  The first pic was taken under my lamp with no flash and the rest are in the dark with flash to show the holo goodness.

Total awesomeness!

Glitter Gal Red 3D Holo retails for $14.00 on http://shop.llarowe.com.

Llarowe is donating 10% of all purchases for the remainder of the year to food banks across the country.  You can't feel guilty about purchasing polishes from her.  :D

Glitter Gal Dark Purple 3D Holo from Llarowe

YAY!  Another pretty from Glitter Gal to show you today courtesy of Llarowe

I put this on and was instantly in love.  By now, y'all should all know that I'm totally in love with linear holo polishes.  This is my first purple holo.  It's like grape juice.  SO pretty.  I could see doing this with a pretty deep green holo polish diagonally across the nail.

My pics below are 2 coats with a quick dry top coat (SH Insta-Dri).  I had no problems with this polish at all, and I'm actually thinking of doing it as an accent nail on my current mani just to show it off some more.  :D

Llarowe & Glitter Gal Light As A Feather 3D Holo

Recently I was contacted by Leah Ann of Llarowe and offered to review some polishes.  I'm pretty easy to please and told her I'd be happy with anything that she sent me.  I was expecting maybe 2, and was surprised when I got my package.  I'll be showing you what she sent me throughout this week.

Let me start out by saying I got my package out of my mailbox just as I was heading out to pick up some friends to go out to dinner.  My SO was driving so I dug into the envelope.  Once I got it open, I was shocked and very impressed with the amount of packaging.  I joked & said I needed a plasma cutter to get into the bubble wrap.  I had to wait the 4 mile trip to my GF's house to use her scissors.  I had to snap the pic with my phone before I tore into it to see the pretties inside.  :D

Before I show you the first polish, let me explain a little about Llarowe.  Llarowe (click HERE to visit the website) is an amazing e-tailer that offers brands from other countries that we in the US aren't able to get readily or without having to pay high shipping or do swaps for.  She ships extremely fast and I believe she also ships internationally (excluding Italy).  She is the official US stockist for Glitter Gal, A England, and is a member of the piCture pOlish network.  She's also recently introduced HITS to her web store.  So, if you were totally in love with the piCture pOlish review I did for Voodoo, definitely go check out her STORE and pick some stuff up!

If all of that weren't amazing enough....for all purchases between November 1st through December 31st, 10% of the sales through her site will be donated to food banks across the country!  So not only can you get some hard to get and beautiful polishes, but you can feel good about doing it!

Now to the beautiful polish.  I know someone in one of the polish groups I'm in on Facebook was recently looking for a white holographic.  Light As A Feather by Glitter Gal is probably the closest you'll ever get to a white holo.  It does have a slight gray hue to it, but it's still beautiful.  The name makes me think of the movie The Craft.  :D

I think this would be a perfect color for a holo polish loving bride.  I didn't wear a base color with this, but think maybe a white underneath would help the white pop a little more. The pics below are 2 coats with a quick dry top coat.

It's a very subtle linear holo, but still holo.  I absolutely LOVE it.
