Neon Green with Pink Glitter

Hey y'all!  Today I have another mani that I did over the summer.  I wanted so go with something bright and sparkly and this is what I came up with.

funky fingers limelight orly bubbly bombshell

It was super simple and quick to do.

I don't remember what pink I used under the glitter, but the green is Funky Fingers Limelight and the glitter is Orly Bubbly Bombshell.

I was still adjusting to the nail shape at this time, so I did miss some spots on the tips.  However, unless you're OCD like me, it's really not that noticeable.

China Glaze - Lite Brites - Summer 2016

*Press Sample*

Hey y'all!  I know, SUPER late with this post....so I'm just going to get straight to it.  Y'all have probably already seen these polishes by now, but I had to just go ahead & get this up.

china glaze lite brites collection swatch

This collection of 12 polishes has that 80's vibe with a range of finishes.  I definitely have some favorites here.

china glaze lite brites collection swatch whip it good

china glaze lite brites collection swatch whip it good
Whip It Good -  2 coats - Banana yellow creme - It almost looks like my camera washes this out, but it really is a bright, yet pastel, yellow.  I'm unsure how I feel about this one.

china glaze lite brites collection swatch lime after lime

china glaze lite brites collection swatch lime after lime
Lime After Lime - 2 coats - Neon lime creme - I would say this is more pastel neon lime.  Pretty awesome, and a great base if you're going to wear glow in the dark polish.

china glaze lite brites collection swatch none of your risky business

china glaze lite brites collection swatch none of your risky business
None Of Your Risky Business - 2 coats - Tangerine creme - Think road cone orange pastel.  That's what comes to mind with this shade.  It's a little more yellow/orange than red.

china glaze lite brites collection swatch i'll pink to that

china glaze lite brites collection swatch i'll pink to that
I'll Pink To That - 2 coats - Neon fuchsia creme - Super bright Barbie pink cream.  I probably have other shades just like this.....but I bet if I put them up against each other there would definitely be a difference.

china glaze lite brites collection swatch hot flash

china glaze lite brites collection swatch hot flash
Hot Flash - 2 coats - Crimson shimmer -  To me, this is like a coral-y red cream.  The press release says this is a shimmer, but I see absolutely zero shimmer in the bottle they sent me.  I even checked the bottle that I'd purchased(before I knew I was getting samples) and it doesn't have shimmer either.  Anyone else have shimmer in theirs? Maybe it's so subtle that I'm not seeing it.

china glaze lite brites collection swatch i got a blue attitude

I Got A Blue Attitude - 2 coats - Deep blue-violet creme - I agree with the blue violet part.  As I'm typing this post at 2am & can barely see the screen it looks like this is pulling more blue than purple...but I notated it as purple with a super subtle blue shimmer.

china glaze lite brites collection swatch lip smackin good

china glaze lite brites collection swatch lip smackin good
Lip Smackin' Good - 2 coats - Bubblicious neon pink creme - On the nail this looks like a neon pastel pink with a pink shimmer, and in the bottle the shimmer looks silver as you can see in the first shot.  Even though the press release says nothing about shimmer....who knows.

china glaze lite brites collection swatch bite me

china glaze lite brites collection swatch bite me
Bite Me - 2 coats - Fluorescent watermelon creme - To me, this is more bubblegum pink with a golden orange shimmer.  You can definitely see the shimmer in this one....or is it just me?

china glaze lite brites collection swatch let's jam

china glaze lite brites collection swatch let's jam
Let's Jam - 2 coats - Shimmering orchid - YAY!  We finally agree that this has shimmer.  I wrote down dusty lavender with a purple blue shimmer, but their description works too.

china glaze lite brites collection swatch what i like about blue

china glaze lite brites collection swatch what i like about blue
What I Like About Blue - 2 coats - sky blue shimmer - To me, it's a robin's egg blue with a silver champagne shimmer.

china glaze lite brites collection swatch papa don't peach

china glaze lite brites collection swatch papa don't peach
Papa Don't Peach - 3 coats - coral peach with iridescent copper glitter - This is like Riveting's peach sister.  Riveting made me LOVE orange and this just fits right in.  It's kinda jelly so it needed 3 coats, but I will definitely wear this again & again.  So glad that I have a backup, because I don't have one for Riveting and I'm always afraid to use it up.

china glaze lite brites collection swatch we got the beet

china glaze lite brites collection swatch we got the beet
We Got The Beet - 3 coats - grape with iridescent copper shimmer - I think this one would have been more aptly named Let's Jam.  Like Papa Don't Peach, this acts like a jelly with flakies, so it needed 3 coats.

I honestly have too many fav's in this one and I'm so thankful that I have backup's of a few.  Which are your fav's from this one?

Color Club Foxy Mama

Hey y'all!  Today I have another beauty from the Poptastic collection that Color Club released last summer.  This was another one that I managed to snag while shopping after the Atlanta Nail Meetup back in April.  I used to hate oranges, and still do....unless it's nail polish (or eyeshadow because it looks good with my blue eyes).  This is no exception.

If you like orange, and NEON orange, this is your gal.  It's that BRIGHT orange cream with a golden shimmer.

I only needed 2 coats and it dries kinda matte so it definitely needs a top coat.

I wore this on my toes for a month straight because I didn't want to change it.  Even with my pale skin, and my feet are whiter than everything else, it looked great.

What are your favorite orange polishes?

China Glaze Sun Of A Peach

Hey y'all!  Today I have another of the pretties that I picked up at the #AtlNailMeet back in April.  Sun Of A Peach was part of the 2013 Sunsational summer collection from China Glaze.  I'm going to tell y'all now that this one was a PITA to photograph.

china glaze sunsational summer sun of a peach review swatch
For these swatches, I used 3 coats (plus top coat) and probably could've gone for a 4th.

china glaze sunsational summer sun of a peach review swatch
It's a BEAUTIFUL, in my opinion, neon peach.  It's more of an orange peach than a pink one.  I love it SO much and can't wait to do a gradient with it. (pssst, I've already done one and can't wait to show y'all)

The formula on this was kinda streaky, but it possibly could've been my fault....or that it was sitting in a warm warehouse when I bought it.  It dried down to a satin finish, so I definitely needed to add a top coat.

Which are your fav's from this collection?  I think I also grabbed Keepin It Teal & may end up grabbing more if/when I go back.

Electric Nights Gradient

Hey y'all!  So when I was getting ready for a meetup with some local polish addicts last weekend (post on that will go up tomorrow) I was drawing a COMPLETE blank on what to do with my nails.  I knew I wanted to use some of the colors from the Electric Nights collection, so this is what I came up with.

electric nights redy to rave dj blue my mind

The 3 polishes I used, well other than my white base, were all China Glaze.  Red-y To Rave, DJ Blue My Mind, and the lovely Fairy Dust.

I used the Chevron Mini's from NailVinyls (@teismom on IG) along with a sponge for the Red-y To Rave and DJ Blue My Mind gradient on the 2 middle fingers.  Red-y To Rave is on my index and thumb(not pictured) and DJ Blue My Mind on my pinky, with both being topped off with Fairy Dust.

Of course I had to grab an energy drink on the way to the meetup because I was up late the night before & woke up early.

What do y'all think?  I absolutely LOVE it.  So many of the ladies were asking about the shades too & thankfully I remembered them!

China Glaze Electric Nights - the glitters

*Press Sample*

Hey y'all!  So the other day I showed y'all the 9 cream/crelly polishes in the Electric Nights collection.  Today I bring to you, the glitters.....and some marbling.

china glaze electric nights glitters neon watermarble

I wanted to do something different when swatching these & didn't want to use white.  Sadly one of the glitters had practically EVERY color in it. So to keep it from disappearing into the base I used white.  I also attempted to do a watermarble accent nail in shades that matched the glitters.  Hope you like.

Let The Beat Drop - 1 coat over Daisy Know My Name? - This contains hot orange and pink matte multi-size glitters.  The marble accent is Daisy Know My Name, Home Sweet House Music, and Glow With The Flow.

Can I Get An Untz Untz - 1 coat over Home Sweet House Music - This contains neon blue and green multi-size glitters.  I think I noticed a few purple (you can see them) in there too, but that color wasn't listed on the press release.  The marble accent is Violet-Vibes, DJ Blue My Mind, and Treble Maker(with a tiny bit of Home Sweet House Music peeking out from the base).

china glaze electric nights glitters neon watermarble point me to the party

china glaze electric nights glitters neon watermarble point me to the party
Point Me To The Party - 1 coat over white base - This contains pink, blue, green, orange, and (I think) purple matte multi-size glitter.  The marble accent is UV Meant To Be, Glow With The Flow, Treble Maker, Red-y To Rave, and Plur-ple.

The creams marbled rather well and would actually look WAY better if I hadn't goofed when using my marbling stick.  That being said, I do love how they kinda look like marbled soaps and stuff.

I had no issues with the glitters. In fact, I cleaned a TON off of the brush before applying, so this could be way more glitter.  Point Me To The Party did seem to have a slight pink tinge to the base when applied over the white, but it's not showing up on my camera.

Neon Nike Flyknit Air Max Inspired Mani

Hey y'all!  Today is kind of a pictoral, if you will.  The post has a lot of pictures, but I took them after each step of this mani.  I was inspired by a pair of shoes I found on Pinterest, the Nike Flyknit Air Max

I started out with a base of Wet N Wild Black Creme.

Using a fan brush and I brushed Bundle Monster Angelic White(13) onto my ring and middle fingers.  This was to create a base for the colors in the next step to show up more and pop off of the black.

I cleaned off the fan brush while the white dried.  Then I took a few drops of  Funky Fingers Limelight(green), Highlighter(yellow), and Drop The Bass(orange) and placed them on a palette. Dipped the fan brush in each color to make a gradient on the brush, and swept it over the white.

While THAT dried, I grabbed Funky Fingers Glitter Explains It All and Glitter Matters.  I layered them both over the index and pinky fingers.  Just to add a little extra before topping it all off with Seche. I mean, you can't go wrong with glitter. :D

It's not exactly how I wanted it, but I absolutely love it.  I had to grab some macro shots of it too.

So what do y'all think?  I'm totally digging it & think it's the perfect way to wear neon's if you don't want to fully commit to wearing just a solid neon shade.
