OPI - Down To The Core-al

Hey y'all!  Today I have an OPI color that I can't remember if I got in the swap or bought at the local meet-up last year.  Anyway, it's so fun and I can't wait to wear it this summer on my toes!

opi down to the core-al swatch

I don't really own that many OPI polishes and most of the ones I do have are dark or vampy shades. So this was a treat to get.

opi down to the core-al swatch

As usual I used Seche Vite as my top coat and only needed 2 coats for these swatches.

It's one of those gorgeous peachy/orange/coral shades with a subtle pink shimmer.

I definitely need to add more OPI's to my collection.  What are some of your fav's?

China Glaze - Road Trip - My Way Or The Highway

Hey y'all!  Today I have one of the polishes that I bought at last years nail meetup, which wasn't a dupe.  I bought a few dupes, by accident, so it was good that this one was an impulse buy and one I knew I didn't already have. It's from the 2015 Spring collection called Road Trip.

As usual, I used Seche Vite as my top coat for these swatches.

This is such a beautiful color...and yes I have TONS of shades like it, but nothing that's a dupe.

It's a beautiful green-ish turquoise cream, almost jelly, finish.

Perfect for the summer by the pool, lake, or beach.  I can't wait to put this on my toes.

Color Club - Paris In Love - Holy Chic!

Hey y'all!  Today I have another polish that I snagged at last years local nail meetup.  I think I still have a few more to swatch, but for now this is the last one of the batch.  It's so beautiful and spring-y.  Totes love it.

As usual, I used Seche Vite as my top coat for these swatches.

The color of this is showing more blue, to me, on screen but it's kind of a mix between a pastel blue and lavender.

I only needed 2 coats for this cream finish.

This will definitely re-appear on my nails come spring time.  It looks like the perfect base for some nail art.

Color Club - Matte Rouge - Makeout Maven

Hey y'all!  Today I have another polish I got in last years meetup swap.  It also happens to be the other one from the Matte Rouge collection.  I'm kinda back & forth on liking it, but I'm keeping it either way.

The polishes in this collection have a matte, though more satin, finish with a slight texture to them.  Unlike the Zoya Pixie Dusts, these are smooth.

Since they're matte, I didn't use any top coat, and used 2 coats for these swatches.

This color is so difficult to describe.  Depending on the lighting it looks brown-ish red, but then again it looks almost like a wine.  So I wrote down a mauvey brown & then brick red.

I might have to wear this again to see how I feel about it for sure.

Color Club - Matte Rouge - Perfect Pout

Hey y'all!  Last year I did a post after going to an Atlanta meetup for polish lovers & while at that meetup, we brought some stuff to destash.  I grabbed a few and they've been sitting in my untrieds basket ever since.  So I dusted them off and got to swatching.  Today's beauty is from the Matte Rouge collection, idk when it released, and boy is it a new fav.

This has a matte finish so I didn't use any top coat.  Though the finish is more satin than matte, and slightly textured.

It's a gorgeous bright orange, and looks like an orange peel.

I used 2 coats in this swatch, but you could probably easily get away with one if you're careful.

I have one more shade from this collection, which will be coming soon, and now I kinda want to get the rest.

Zoya - Seashells Pixie Dust Collection - Summer 2016

*Press Sample*

Hey y'all!  Today I have the last collection that I received during my blogging hiatus & wanted to share it with y'all.  I know it's late, but better late than never.  This is the Seashells collection that was released over the summer.

zoya seashells pixie dust review swatches

I only needed 2 coats for all of these, and since they're pixie dusts I didn't use a top coat.  They always dry pretty quickly too.

Tilly - Can be best described as a starry grey with small holographic glitter interwoven with a darker gunmetal - It's so sparkly that the camera didn't really want to pick it up.  The gunmetal glitters look almost blue.  My favorite out of the collection.

zoya levi seashells pixie dust review swatches

zoya levi seashells pixie dust review swatches
Levi - Can be best described as a beige gold with medium holographic hex glitter - I totally didn't expect to like this as much as I did, but I think the holo sparkle in it won me over.

zoya zooey seashells pixie dust review swatches

zoya zooey seashells pixie dust review swatches
Zooey - Can be best described as a classic pink laced with gold & medium hex holo glitters - It's like a tulip pink with a dash of gold glitter.  So pretty.

zoya cece seashells pixie dust review swatches

zoya cece seashells pixie dust review swatches
Cece - Can be best described as a full impact green with a thin vein of gold - The depth of green in this looks like there's multiple shades and the gold just adds to it.

zoya linds seashells pixie dust review swatches

zoya linds seashells pixie dust review swatches
Linds - Can be best described as a cherry red with red and fuchsia glitters - I noticed a slight bit of gold in this too that doesn't seem to translate too much onto the nail.  This one also looks kinda wet even when it's dry.  Definitely a winner.

Bay - Can be best described as a sky blue with fine silver and gold glitter - This blue is frosty, and reminds me of Frozen.

While I liked all of these, even though I'm not really THAT huge of a fan of texture, these shades give off more Winter vibes than they do Summer vibes.  Is it just me?

These are currently available on Zoya.com for $10ea.

Zoya - Sunsets Collection - 2016 Summer

*Press Sample*

Hey y'all!  Today I have another collection that I received during my blogging hiatus & wanted to share it with y'all.  I know it's late, but better late than never.  This is the Sunsets collection that was released over the summer.

All of these are super opaque, bright, fun cream colors. I used 2 coats in my swatches, with Seche Vite to top it off, but they could easily be 1 coaters.

zoya cam sunsets swatches review

zoya cam sunsets swatches review
Cam - Can be best described as a deep, fully saturated orange....like a tangerine. - It's almost "Blogger" orange, seriously looks very similar to the icon on my screen as I type this.  It's like a deep Halloween-y orange.

zoya ness sunsets swatches review

zoya ness sunsets swatches review
Ness - Can be best described as a softened jade green with a hint of blue....reminiscent of sea glass - I can see that, but this also makes me think of a dusky grassy green.  Maybe even a shade to be considered the Pantone 2017 color of the year?

zoya dixie sunsets swatches review

zoya dixie sunsets swatches review
Dixie - Can be best described as a juicy watermelon red - I see more pink in this, like berry pink.  Definitely one of my fav's.

zoya brynn sunsets swatches review

zoya brynn sunsets swatches review
Brynn - Can be best described as a popsicle pink - This is kinda bubblegum pink for me, or maybe I'm not imagining a popsicle.....

zoya dory sunsets swatches review

zoya dory sunsets swatches review
Dory - Can be best described as a vibrant cornflower blue - I can see that & it's aptly named.  A beautiful ocean-like, beachy blue.

zoya liv sunsets swatches review

zoya liv sunsets swatches review
Liv - Can be best described as a fun-filled purple - It's almost Barney purple, but also kind of looked mauve-y purple when I applied it.

As you can see in my photo's above, camera settings (and display settings) can play a HUGE part in how swatches look.  In each one I had a different setting on my camera so I used one from each setting to show you how they can look in different light.  These were so easy to apply and I did a fun nail art post that I'll have up in a few days.

These are now currently available on Zoya.com for $10ea.

Zoya - Petals - Spring 2016

*Press Sample*

Hey y'all!  Today I have the spring collection called Petals from Zoya.  Almost all caught up on the swatches I missed while I was on hiatus.

zoya petals swatches review

These were all pretty sheer & either have a colored shimmer or a subtle silver shimmer.  As per usual, I used Seche Vite as my topcoat.

zoya petals swatches review leia

zoya petals swatches review leia
Leia - 4 coats - Can be best described as a sheer, opalescent white with flecks of fuchsia, green, and gold - The base on this is clear, but when you build up the layers it looks almost green. The shimmers are opalescent, but look almost holo.  This looks better when layered over something else.

zoya petals swatches review tulip

zoya petals swatches review tulip
Tulip - 3 coats - Can be best described as a pure pastel salmon cream with the slightest hint of sheen - Sheen being shimmer, and I agree with the shade description.

zoya petals swatches review laurel

zoya petals swatches review laurel
Laurel - 3 coats - Can be best described as a warm pastel pink with the slightest hint of sheen - Again, sheen means shimmer. It's a silver-ish shimmer, but subtle. And the pink is a creamy baby pink.

zoya petals swatches review zahara

zoya petals swatches review zahara
Zahara - 4 coats - Can be best described as a brilliant shimmering coral - I agree, coral to me is a peachy pink & this leans more peach/orange.  The shimmer in this is pink and silver.

zoya petals swatches review azalea

zoya petals swatches review azalea
Azalea - 3 coats - Can be best described as a classic spring pink with a captivating white and fuchsia flash - More of a bubblegum pink, I can almost see the white and fuchsia flash.

zoya petals swatches review aster

zoya petals swatches review aster
Aster - 3 coats - Can be best described as a fresh periwinkle with flecks of fuchsia - The flecks look more pink & blue with silver, but they're difficult to pick up on camera.

These are now currently available on Zoya.com for $10ea. There are also lip sticks and glosses available.
