Hey y'all!!! I haven't been finishing that many product's monthly, so today is a recent empties post. I'm still working on using everything up before starting on something new, but I'm not rushing. SO, here's what we've got.
I already have reviews up for most of these and will, as usual, include a link to each of them where applicable.
Reviva Labs Glycolic Acid Oily Skin Day Moisturizer - I really liked this, but felt it was more, for me, a nighttime moisturizer. It is, as it says, light....but I tended to use it more on non-makeup days.
Softlips Cube - This is in the Pomegranate Blueberry scent. I think I got this in a VoxBox or something. I liked how it has SPF, and works really well...making my lips feel soft and smooth. However, the fact that once it gets kinda even with the cube there's still product in the packaging. The only way to get it out is to use your fingers and I HATE doing that. Especially when I'm out and on the go & don't always have hand sanitizer on me. Great product, horrible packaging.
Lifetherapy Bodywash - These can be used as body wash and/or hand soap. They're perfect to try the different scents out, for stocking stuffers, for travel, and various other things. I really LOVED these and of course my fav is the Escape scent.
got 2b Smooth Operator - This product has been a multi-tasker for me. I don't remember which YTer I saw suggest it, but I love it. I've actually this for a while & use it for straight and curly hair. For those days I want to straighten my hair, I use just a little of this plus a heat protectant spray. For curly days when I don't want to do a lot, I just add a little bit of this and let it air dry. Thankfully I think I already own a backup of this.
Garnier Fructis Curl Shaping Spray Gel - When I bought this I already had the cream gel and loved it. This, not so much. The packaging is great, and I LOVE that it has a fine mist sprayer. What I didn't like was that it seemed to take forever to get any product onto the hair. So I'd spray it into my hands then scrunch into the hair while wet. It dried more crunchy, and was just ok in my opinion. The cream is way better, I think. Because I love the sprayer on this I've cleaned it out already and mixed up my detangler concoction in the bottle.
That's it for recent empties. Until next time!

Lifetherapy Samplers
*Press Sample*
Hey y'all! So I've already shared the Escape scent collection from Lifetherapy. They were also kind enough to send a sampler of the lotion and body wash in the other scent collections.
These Sampler sets come in either the body lotion or body wash options. I've already given thoughts on the types of products in my earlier post so right now we'll just go through the scent options.
Flirt - Bergamot, Water Flowers, Coconut, Muguet, & Rose - These blend together nicely so it's not too much of just one scent. Innocent & playful.
Chill - Fresh Citrus, Heliotrope, Dry Amber, Calming Rose, & Vanilla - This definitely has that amber & vanilla kick to it, but not overwhelmingly so. Subtle & peaceful.
Play - Jasmine, Red Orange, Marsh Grass, & Peach Skin - For me, this is right up there with Escape as my favorite. When I first used it, I thought immediately of a tart grapefruit scent...not the normal sweet that everything else has, but when I actually read the info I find that's from the red orange. I love to put this on my hands just before going to sleep and smelling them as I drift off. Feminine & youthful.
Vacation - Polynesian Coconut, White Orchid, Warm Sugar, & Sandalwood - This is another that blends nicely and nothing sticks out powerfully. It's like that coconut sunscreen smell, but more intoxicating. Warm & sensuous.
Escape - Gardenia, Pineapple Leaf, Sensuous Musk, & Palm Bark - Light, airy, floral, and not musky in the usual sense. It reminds me of these blue bath salts I used to buy ages ago because it strangely made me feel calm and like I was in ocean waters. Clean & crisp.
These are also great Mother's Day gifts so that special lady in your
life can find her favorite. These would even be great bridesmaids gifts
or stocking stuffers if you're planning ahead. :D
Lifetherapy
is a mood-boosting bath and body collection created with thoughtful
ingredients and luxury packaging. The entire collection is made in the
U.S.A. and is healthy for your body: sulfate-free, paraben-free,

Lifetherapy Escape - PERFECT for Mother's Day
*Press Sample*
Hey y'all! Today I have something I feel would be the most perfect & foolproof gift for Mother's Day. Lifetherapy was kind enough to send a few products out for me to try & I'm absolutely in LOVE with this. I think other moms would be too. Not only are they luxurious, but the packaging is adorable as well.
Lifetherapy offers 5 different scents to suit your mood so that you (or your Mom) can relax and transport yourself to a peaceful place. The products I received are from the Escape scent collection, but I did also receive a sampler containing the others and I'll have a different post for those.
Included was the Hydrating Body Lotion, Mood Enhancing Hand and Body wash, and the Eau De Parfum.
With notes of Gardenia, Pineapple Leaf, Sensuous Musk, and Palm Park, Escape will calm your too-much Winter nerves so you can appreciate the flowers about to bud. These are great alone, but even better when layered.
I use the hand & body wash in the shower, because I'm stingy that way. It's moisturizing and makes the shower feel like I'm in a spa. Then use the lotion as soon as I'm out and dry off, it's light and soaks right in to the skin. Not one bit greasy at all. Lastly, I finish off with a few sprays of the perfume & constantly find I'm smelling myself throughout the day.
With the scent, it's hard to accurately describe. I don't really pick up anything other than floral and clean. It's fragrant without being overpowering or too light to notice.

Happy Mani
Hey y'all! I'm so HAPPY to share this mani with y'all today. It's something that I absolutely HAD to do, so keep reading...
If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know that a while back I stepped into a BBW store and grabbed this candle as soon as I saw it.
Seeing this was perfect timing too. Growing up, my dad called me Happy. I was out shopping one day and he was on my mind a LOT. Of course I couldn't pass it up, it smells AMAZING too. Also, that same day, I was walking out of a gas station with my drink & happened to see a Mini Cooper in a color of British Racing Green. Something he & I talked about a lot & it made me feel like he was definitely looking over me that day. Oh, and the day before I'd seen a bottle of Ketchup with the phrase "How do you Happy?" *cue Signs by Tesla*
Once I got home I put the candle next to his picture on my mantle. I went back a few weeks later and grabbed another one so I could enjoy the scent and not burn the one I purchased that day. This kinda kicked my inspiration and got the creative juices flowing. I HAD to do a mani to match the candle.
I started out with a base color of Sinful Colors Snow Me White and put a coat of Seche Vite to help it dry quickly.
For the squares, I used a cheapy art brush that I cut into a thin nail art brush. The colors are Finger Paints Grassy Knoll, Fresh Paint #WINNING, and Zoya Hunter. I didn't use a top coat once everything was done because the label on the candle has a bit of texture to it and I wanted the design to have that same sort of feel/look to it.
So that's it. I quite like how it turned out AND that it sparked my creative juices again.
What do y'all think?

December Empties - 2014
Hey y'all! Long time no blog. I know it's been a while and I keep promising on Facebook that I'm working on posts, but as soon as I start I'm all "meh". I'm not going to do a resolutions post this year, as I have in years past because I feel like I've been doing pretty well actually with most of the ones I've already made. I will have a few more posts coming soon and I'm truly working on getting myself motivated and back into the swing of things. I have a LOT to catch up on.
So, today's post is all the empties that I had from last month. Well, not all of them because some were tossed before I could snag them. I also grabbed a few old skincare products that didn't smell right or were not the same texture, and tossed them. Lets get to it...
Secret Clinical Strength Invisible Solid - I had a sample size in the Completely Clean scent. Out of all the deodorant's I've tried, the Secret Clinical Strength is by far my favorite. I'm not a fan of the price tag though. I was shocked that this was a solid because previously the only ones I'd used were the ones that would twist up out of holes, kinda like the gels. It took a good while to use this, though I did only use it on weekends when I knew I'd be doing a LOT of moving around.
Dead Sea Cosmetics Hand & Body Lotion - The scent I have this in is Wave. I think I might have actually done a review of this a LONG time ago. Even longer ago was when I actually purchased this at a kiosk in the mall. It's got a nice scent, but I can spend less for much better hand lotion. I'm just glad that I finally finished this off and can toss it!!!
HairMax Density Revitalizer - I did a review of this HERE. I really liked this product and the way it made my scalp feel. I felt like I wasted a lot of it though pouring directly onto my scalp rather than into my hands, then my scalp.
Olay Fresh Effects Out Of This Swirled - I have a review of this coming soon. This is a recent find for me & I've already repurchased. I'll go ahead and tell you now though that this stuff rawks, IMO.
Crest Pro Health Sensitive + Enamel Shield - I've had this in my empties multiple times. It's my fav toothpaste to use. It does the job and doesn't burn or hurt. If you have sensitivities, try this stuff out.
Well, that's it for December. I can't believe that it's 2015 already! Hope y'all have had a wonderful start to your new year.

November Empties
Hey y'all. I know I've been a horribly bad blogger lately. I have a few reasons for not posting, but that's not what this post is about. I can't believe that it's already December. It's cray cray.
No idea why, but it feels like November just flew by. I have about 3-4 products that are so close to being empty too & I just couldn't finish them up. That being said, I did finish a lot more this month than I have in the past few months.
Beauty Secrets Pure Acetone - This is the easiest brand for me to get and it's reasonably priced. I actually had this 16oz. size for a while before finishing it. I go between it and the 32oz. depending on what is on sale at the time. Not only do I use this for cleanup, but I sometimes use it to make my own remover mixture. Though lately, I've just found it easier to buy the pink or blue colored remover at Sally's.
Bath & Body Works Peach Bellini Hand Soap - The smell of this is pure awesome. Peach is one of my favorite scents and I was sad when this was finished. I have one other BBW hand soap that is almost empty and that'll probably be it for me unless I pick some up when they do the semi-annual sale.
Bath & Body Works Pocketbac - This one was in "I Love Cake Frosting"....yeah was SO not impressed with the scent on this. It smelled great in the bottle, but not on skin.
Benefit Porefessional - I have this tiny sample & decided to give it a try recently. Not sure why, but after a few uses I had to stop. It's still pretty full, but I started noticing red spots all over my face. I like how it worked the few times I tried it, but not enough to keep dealing with what looked like a rash. So it's getting tossed.
Simple Cleansing Wipes - I just feel kinda "meh" about these. I was using them to clean the oil off of my face before applying makeup, but I don't have that problem anymore. When I tried using them to clean makeup off at the end of the day I wasn't happy with them. I know you're not supposed to "avoid direct contact with eyes", but I couldn't even wipe off my brows without the stuff from this migrating into my eyes or making the area burn. Plus, they dry out pretty fast.
Bumble & Bumble ColorMinded Styling Balm - If I had purchased this, instead of getting it from a friend, I'd have returned it. No matter now much, or little, I used it made my hair feel like I hadn't washed any product buildup out of it & just let it get all crunchy. Smells nice though.
Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray - I love using this. Especially since sometimes trying to use mostly matte makeup can make you look overly powdery. This helps take that down a little & makes your makeup last. I don't know what I'd do without it.
Clairol Flare Hair Color - The color I used is Blaze 6RR. I purchased this months ago & finally finished up some other stuff so that I could use this. You can see the result of this color HERE. I did this color 3 weeks ago & it still looks amazing. That could be because I've only used shampoo twice since & have used mostly cleansing conditioners.
L'Oreal Curve It Curl Taming Cream - At first I didn't really care much for this. So I put it in the cabinet & went back to it after I finished the balm above. I really started to like this. Especially on days where I wanted my hair curly & not all crunchy, but not frizzy either. It's a really light creamy product & I will probably repurchase after I finish other things in my bathroom.
Herbal Essences Body Wash - This is in "Happy Go Lather". It was part of a 3 pack that I got around this time last year. OMG it smells great. It's rose scented, but not too heavy & it didn't linger all day on my skin. I would probably repurchase, but I like the coconut one better(not by much though).
So that's it. I'm hoping to get back into the swing of posting and stuff soon.

The Country’s First Collegiate Beauty Brand, Pride & Glory, Gives Back to Local Communities
Hey y'all! As a college football fan, I'm UBER excited about this press release I have to share today. Even if you're not a fan, give it a look. This is the perfect gift idea for the football fan in your life. If you don't happen to see the team you, or your loved one, love(s) then be sure to follow them on their various social media sites for announcements of new additions. I have been assured that my fav will be available soon.
www.prideandgloryUSA.com
New
York, NY – Jennifer Walsh, beauty veteran and former owner and founder
of The Beauty Bar, has created yet another new concept in beauty with
the country’s first collegiate beauty brand, aptly named Pride &
Glory. With team-branded bath and body products, it specifically caters
to alumni, fans of universities and the college market while also
supporting local charities.
Pride
& Glory beauty products appeal to the college market while
inspiring students and alumni to "live and give with pride." Consumers
can show off their school pride by purchasing Pride & Glory beauty
products that are custom branded for their school. And two percent of
profits from the sale of each item goes back to the charity of that
school's choice through Pride & Glory’s trust, Inspiration Nations.
Walsh
dreamed up this concept after spending six months leading a group of
volunteers in the Rockaways after Superstorm Sandy. "What if I created a
beauty brand that at its core is about giving back to local
communities?" she said. "Could this concept literally change lives
through beauty? When one person uses their voice for change, they can
make a real difference. Now think of what we could all do together."
Walsh realized that the college market was the ideal place to start. "It
might be the market with the greatest voice," she said. "And it's one
that beauty has never tapped into before." Walsh is now the first
proprietor in the US to hold the licensing rights to create a full line
of bath and body care and so on for the collegiate market. She also says
that customers from her old company, The Beauty Bar used to come into
her shops looking for college logoed products over a decade ago!
Notably,
all Pride & Glory products including soap, shower gels, hand washes
and lotions are 100% made in the USA. Many more products are to come
over the next three to five years.
With
the official start of the academic year upon us, the brand is garnering
increased interest from retailers and the investment community.www.prideandgloryUSA.com

July Empties
Hey y'all! Wow, I can't believe it's almost August already. Summer is almost over, the kiddo will be back to school soon, and College Football starts later this month.
I actually finished a few more products than what I have here, but this is what I was able to save.
Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Hair Color in 6RR - This color is called Runway Red. I had to get a lot of brassiness out of my hair which I think was the result of using my Loreal HiLights red colors. While I was doing that, I grabbed this because it was different than what I'd been doing, which is darker more purple/reds. I put this on and my hair looked Hayley Williams orange, it kinda freaked me out. However, as I let it sit then washed it out, it did turn more orangey/red. It's bright and I haven't had my hair this color in a while, but I like it. My only problem was that it took FOREVER to mix. The tube with the color in it split in several different places and it took about 20 minutes just to get the color out of the tube. I might give it another try, but not sure on that yet.
Excedrin Tension Headache - I've had migraines for years, different types and different triggers. I try to stay away from many of my triggers as much as I can. Whenever I get a tension migraine, I take one of these along with a soda & put my heat wrap on my shoulders. This is the only OTC medicine that seems to help. I need to repurchase this big time.
BBW PocketBac - This one is in Rockin' Cotton and has the cutest "Mommy" tattoo design on it. I really love these. I have them all over my house, in my purse, everywhere. They're easy to stock up on when they have 5 for $5 sales. I have a bucket full of them because I tend to grab a few about once or twice a year. The scent on this one wasn't too bad either.
Victoria's Secret Pink perfume - I absolutely LOVE this scent. They had one ages ago, I think it was Island Passion, that I absolutely fell in love with. Unfortunately, they discontinued it and I couldn't find a VS scent that I liked.....until this. It's fresh and floral and yummy. As long as they make this, I will continue to purchase it. Thankfully, I still have another smaller bottle like this one that I'm working on as well as the body spray.
Secret Scent Expressions Deodorant - This is in Diva La Daisy. I haven't used any Secret deodorant's other than the clinical ones in a few years. I decided to give this a go. It's lightly floral, but not lingering, and actually works pretty well. I did notice a few times that it left marks on black clothing but not too often. I'm trying out another Secret product right now, but I would purchase this again.
Pantene Natural Co-Wash Cleansing Conditioner - A while back I wanted to try a few different products specified for naturally curly hair. I normally wouldn't try Pantene products, because they kill my hair, but heard good things about this. It works pretty well, but I did find that I had to clarify more often while using it. There's no way that I could use just this and nothing else. I probably wouldn't repurchase.
WEN Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner - I tried WEN ages ago and loved it. However, I don't like the price. I received 2 bottles of this for Christmas & earlier this month finally finished up one bottle. I think I actually started using it in late January though, but that is a good amount of time to last. It makes my hair super soft, tingles a little leaving my scalp feeling amazing, and doesn't weigh my hair down at all. I can even use a little bit just on the ends as a leave in with nothing else in my hair and zero frizz. Right now I'm trying another alternative, but I still have the other bottle to use up. I will always recommend this if you can afford it.
CocoaPink Ends w/Argan Benefits - You can see my review of this HERE. I am absolutely 100% in love with this product and would recommend it to everyone I know. It's a multi-tasker and OMG it smells amazing.
Nivea Touch Of Waterlily Shower Gel - Thankfully I think this was the last of the Nivea shower gels from my stockpile. I like the smell, but absolutely HATE the packaging on this. It's a pain to open so most times I wouldn't completely press the lid down on it. I didn't find it super moisturizing to warrant a repurchase. If the packaging were better, I'd buy it for the smell alone.
That wraps up the products I used up last month. While I thought I'd finished more, it was still a pretty decent amount.
Cocoa Pink Perfumes & Body Stuff
Hey y'all! Back in June, I did a review of a new product from CocoaPink, you can see that review HERE. I was instantly hooked. I'm always afraid of picking out scents from online companies because I can't promise that I'll end up liking it. I'd even heard rave reviews about this company from LOTS of bloggers and make-up addicts in one of the various Facebook groups that I'm in. Finally, after I tried the one product I knew I needed more.
Thankfully, soon after they had a sale on the Dram Perfume Vials. I had a heck of a time trying to narrow it down to 6(as the sale was 6 for $15) and probably should've gone for 12. I finally settled on what I wanted and also received a couple of extra sample goodies.
I'll start with those....
Soft Bubbles Foaming Sugar Scrub - I have only used this in the shower so far, but I'm absolutely 100% in love with this product. It's gentle, foamy, and full of moisture. Every other body scrub product I've tried has either left a film behind or it takes forever to rinse the "scrub" off. Not with this, no muss, mess, or fuss. It almost seems to dissolve and melt into the skin leaving behind non-greasy, moisturized, soft skin. The softness lasts and lasts too. The scent I received is Ivory Eyelet - Buttercream, lemon curd, marshmallow, vanilla ice cream. It smells like buttercream frosting at first, but as you massage it onto the skin you can smell the slight hint of lemon.
Voluptuous Body Butter - Let me just start out by saying that I need this in gallon size and I just want to bathe in it. Sadly I waited until just the other day to try this out and I'm kicking myself for not using it sooner. I gave myself a manicure, washed my hands, and applied this. Most body butters are thick and greasy. This is slightly thick, but light, and super absorbent. It didn't take forever to rub into the skin. The scent I received is A Day At The Beach - White sand castles lace the shoreline, black eyed Susan daisies scatter gingerly among the thin blades of dune grass, hints of expensive warmed tanning oil with lashings of creamy coconut milk flow through gentle breezes and the indulgent aroma of smooth Madagascar vanilla beans complete this absolutely perfect day at the beach. The scent on this is so perfectly blended that I can't even pin down just one note. It's appropriately named as well, even my neighbor who has lived near the beach most of her life agrees. It's not overpowering, but you know it's there. This is perfect when sitting outside in the breeze and the scent drifts up. You almost feel like you're at the beach.
Lastly are the Perfume Dram Vial's. These are little samplers you can choose and decide what fragrances you love. I like that they're not too small and you can get oil or alcohol based and try them out before purchasing the larger size. I went with the oil based, on the recommendation of others, so they'll last longer. Let me tell you....I am kicking myself for not ordering more.
Now here's a list of what I got:
Tropic Nights - Night blooming water lily, sweet pink grapefruit accented with yellow Hawaiian frangipani blossoms wrapped gently in sweet sandalwood and white amber oils. This was the scent of the hair mist that I reviewed and I knew I'd loved it. It's beautiful, tropical, and just so yummy. It's a floral tropical scent and not the fruity most would imagine.
April Sun Showers - Purple Adonis Tulips, prickly pear cactus, morning dew, ripe kiwifruit, white peach extract swimming in steeped matcha tea. This is another one that is blended perfectly. You can't pin down just one note. It's clean and slightly floral with a tiny hint of fruit.
Heavenly Basbousa - Almond cake, creamy condensed milk, whipped cream, vanilla extract, strawberry syrup, whispers of sugared lemon and rosewater made with velvety crimson rose petals. I just want to eat this one. It's heavenly baked goodness. I've never actually tried this dessert, but if it's as good as this smells....I need one like NOW.
Summer Clothesline - Sweet virgin mountain spring water, sun dried clean white cotton towels soaking up the first drops of cool refreshing summer rain. Lovely, light, clean, and soapy goodness.
Yellow Flip Flops - Creamy banana pudding infused with vanilla extract then blended with ripe banana slices, vanilla wafers, with an extra shot of cold whipped cream. I want to eat this one too. It's not heavy or fake. It smells just like banana pudding....thank goodness I have some banana pudding cups in the fridge and some vanilla wafers in the cabinet because I might just have to have that for dessert later.
Chardonnay Slushie - Peach nectar swirled with cream blended together with finely chopped ice, granny smith apple, sweetened iced tea, aged chardonnay wine. I'm not a big wine person, but the fruit and tea are like my favorite things. It doesn't smell like tea, but rather everything goes together for fruity yummy goodness.
I really want everything. These are above and beyond every thing I love about bath and body products. I just want to swim in all of these. Absolutely perfect blending, pure scent, and they're not overwhelming and fake.
Also, some of these are from the spring and summer scent lists. She rotates them out and I find that absolutely awesome. I know I will continue to purchase from Cocoa Pink and can't wait until fall.

Spa Sonic Skin Care System Review & a Black Friday in July Deal
*Press Sample*
Hey y'all! Today I have a new, to me, product to tell y'all about AND a super good deal on it to share. It's the Spa Sonic Skin Care System. This is available in half a dozen colors, but mine is in Radiant Orchid.
Specially designed by dermatologists utilizing
gentle, rotating bristles to offer a deeper clean without irritation,
the Spa Sonic Skin Care System removes impurities, exfoliates, tightens
and minimizes pores. This waterproof device operates with four
attachments: a small brush for the face, a large brush for the body, a
pumice pad for rough areas, and a facial sponge for microdermabrasion
and reduction of fine lines; all of which are included.
I have the well known, higher dollar face brush and NEVER use it. I think it's not only because it's slightly bulky in my small shower, but the replacement heads are so expensive. So, when I was offered to try this out, I jumped at the opportunity. Not only is it a fraction of the price, but it's a multi-tasker.
I've been using this for a few weeks now and I'm liking how I can go from the shower to the vanity with it. Here's what's included:
Small Brush: The small facial brush is made of bristles specially designed for tender facial skin and to reach every contour and groove of the face. For exfoliation, apply desired cleanser to brush or to skin before use. Gently move the brush across skin in a circular motion. It's small, but gets right in to the tiny spots with ease. It's also super soft and doesn't feel like it's scratching the skin while cleansing. I haven't noticed any breakouts caused by using this either.
Large Brush: The large body brush is recommended for use on the entire body. To use, apply soap or cleanser to the body and gently move the brush over skin's surface in circular motions. This feels SUPER soft.
Facial Sponge: The soft facial sponge gently massages skin to stimulate skin cells and improve skin's elasticity. The sponge furthers the absorption of skin care products used to prevent and erase fine lines and dark spots while also tightening pores. After exfoliation and/or cleansing, dip the sponge into the preferred skin care product and apply. I really liked this head. I have extremely oily skin and hate using moisturizer because I always feel greasy after. Not with this. It makes my skin feel softer and gets the product into my skin rather than allowing it to sit on the surface. I would suggest NOT applying serum to it though as it may cause it to expand a little in that spot and not go back to normal.
Pumice: Immerse feet in warm water for several minutes, then wipe dry. Apply pumice to rough spots in a circular motion. During rotation, pumice efficiently exfoliates rough skin cells and reduces calluses. The pumice stone can be used on any rough parts of the body such as knees and elbows. I love to use this in between my at home pedicures.
Now to where you can get this. This is available at Target, Walgreens, and Drugstore.com as well as many other online and in-line retailers nationwide. Available in white, lavender, pink, radiant orchid, vibrant yellow, and tangerine. Pricing may vary.
For a great deal, you can head on over to Target.com on July 25th and 26th for their Black Friday in July sale, which ensures shoppers save both money and face with Spa Sonic’s Skin Care System and DermaLight deals.

June Empties
Hey y'all. It's hard to believe that we're already halfway through 2014 isn't it? Today I have my empties from the past month....which again isn't really much. There were a few things I thought I'd finish up, but just didn't quite make it. So they'll be up next month.
Jordana Fabu Liner Liquid Eye Liner - This is in 01 Black. I picked this up a few months ago, tested it out once I got home, then put it up. I just went to use it about a week or so ago and while it still has plenty of liquid...it just wasn't that great. It's got a felt tip, and applied wonderfully the first time. This time I used, as usual, the very tip and it was splotchy....it looked like I put black ink down then rubbed my finger to clean it up. I couldn't do a thin line....but if I layed it down with most of the tip it would do a perfectly opaque thick black line. Thick lines aren't great for my lids, so I'm tossing this. I have another that I'll probably toss into my pile of stuff to give a friend.
Paddle/Point Applicators - These are those q-tips that are pointed on one end and flat/round on the other. A LOT of people recommend them for polish clean up, but I found they didn't really work that well for me. I actually bought these a few years ago at Big Lots and grabbed several containers since they were, as you can see, so cheap. I actually just ended up using these for cleaning up goofs of mascara or whatever around my eyes. I broke the case when opening so I can't refill it....but it's working great as a palette for nail polish or acrylic paint. I think I have a few packs left, need to find them, but I don't think I'd repurchase.
Suave Professionals Deep Conditioning Shine Mask - I can't remember if this was a gift or something from a giveaway, but it took me a while to use this up. It has moroccan oil, which is supposed to be great for the hair, but I think this was turning my hair brassy. I think this would work great for those of you with darker colored hair. I did like how my hair felt after, just didn't like it turning orange over time.
Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Body Wash - This was the 2nd body wash by Herbal Essences that I used from the 3pack I got at Christmas. So far, my favorite. While I didn't feel that this was "hydrating" at all, I absolutely LOVED the smell. I'm totally obsessed with the smell of coconuts, especially during the summer. So this was perfect for that. I don't mind having to make sure I use lotion after showering. I would definitely repurchase this.
Ion Color Brilliance Brights in Purple - I got this ages ago at Sally's, and let it sit under my sink. A while back I decided to mix it in with some red. Liked the results, then I did my hair half red & half black, used this over it, and loved it. The last time I "colored" my hair, I mixed the last half of this with a different brand of red semi-permanent color and it was a burgundy shade that I loved. I wish this was a perm shade that you could mix with developer...but it's not too bad. I didn't lighten my hair prior to using it, so I don't know what type of results it would have over lighter hair.
I have also been going through my stash of makeup and other beauty products getting rid of old old old stuff. Some things I kept around because I thought I could force myself to use them. Like, I had this really old air freshener spray that was baby powder scented.....it was at least 6 years old. It was time to go. They just ended up sitting around forever taking up space. I went through my lip products and tossed out anything that had changed in color and/or smell. I still have more to go through though and will hopefully be doing that during the next few weeks.

Thymes Kimono Rose Hand Cream
*Press Sample*
Hey y'all! As I'm trying to catch up on reviews and posts, y'all get a rare weekend review!
Thymes is located in Minneapolis and the products are made in the USA. They are completely cruelty free and people tested. They offer a wide variety of body, bath, fragrance, and home fragrance products. I received a hand cream in the Kimono Rose scent for my review. I've actually used it more than any other hand lotion or cream that I have piled up on my desk. The scent is AMAZING and I wish I had every product available in this scent.
There's a picture below of the scent description from the back of the tube.
![]() |
You can click to enlarge if needed. |
Let me tell you that this is extremely lightly scented. You'd think it's completely rose....but it's not. It's a floral, with a little extra. I can smell the softness of the rose, the jasmine, and the vanilla. The other notes, not so much, but I am sure they're there.
It's thick, and luxurious, but not heavy and greasy. A little goes a long way. I have already used about 1/3 of the tube. It takes just a few seconds to absorb into the skin and instantly moisturizes.
Thymes Kimono Rose Hand Cream retails for $18.00 for a 3fl oz. tube and I feel it's totally worth it. OR you could pick up the 8.25fl oz. bottle of hand lotion for $14.00.
Be sure to check them out for a listing of products. Have you tried Thymes before?

CocoaPink Ends w/ Argan Benefits - Hair & Body Fragrance Mist
*Sample sent for review*
Hey y'all! I know a lot of bloggers who are into indie everything, especially cruelty free. One of the companies I've consistently seen them rave about is CocoaPink. So, when CocoaPink asked on their Facebook page for people to sample their new product I jumped at the opportunity. Not only is it an indie but they're located not too far from me.
What I was sent is the Ends with Argan Benefits Hair & Body Fragrance Mist in the Tropic Nights scent.
The first time I used this, I sprayed a little on the ends of my hair after showering, and towel drying....and used no other product. I just allowed my naturally curly hair to air dry. Shortly after, I went into the HUMID heat, did some grocery shopping, and came home. My hair wasn't nearly as frizzy as it would have been had I not used this and used something else instead. The next day, my hair STILL smelled like Tropic Nights....even after being around smoke.
The next time I used it, I applied it then used a little bit of curling creme before allowing my hair to air dry. Zero frizz, and even after using the curling creme(which has a light scent) I could still smell this product. 2 days later, I could still smell it, over EVERYTHING else.
It's light, moisturizing, alcohol free, parabin free, cruelty free, wheat free, vegan, and smells amazing. What's not to love? You can see the ingredients listed below.
Now about the scent. I told y'all this stuff lasts for days...and it does. They have a LONG scent list, which makes me want to drive over and smell ALL THE THINGS! So, there's a scent for everyone.
Tropic Nights is what I got, and the website describes it as...Night blooming water lily, sweet pink grapefruit accented with yellow
Hawaiian frangipani blossoms wrapped gently in sweet sandalwood
and white amber oils. Honestly, it's freaking amazing. I used it this morning and the kid told me it smelled like cookies. It's light and floral, and just plain yummy.

LUSH Tisty Tosty Bath Bomb
Hey y'all! So a while back I went to LUSH to get some bath bombs. I picked up a few of my favorite Butterball, Rose Queen, and this.
I went into LUSH with my friend & wanted to try a few of the rose bombs, so I grabbed Tisty Tosty.
It smelled AMAZING and I was really looking forward to trying it out. It's much bigger than Rose Queen, and of course costs more as well. So I thought it would be WAY better. Boy was I wrong.
I got my bath all ready & dropped this entire thing in. I actually recorded it, but was so disappointed in the results that I deleted it & didn't even bother posting it on Instagram like I'd planned. The scent didn't even last through the short amount of time it took to dissolve. Once I got into the water, I didn't even notice a difference. It was like I'd just ran a bath of plain water and tossed like 4 tiny rosebuds in. Yes 4. That was all that was in this big, heart shaped, $6.35, bath bomb.
From the "ingredients" listed on the website, you'd think there'd be WAY more oomph to this bomb & WAY more "pieces". Yeah, so didn't happen.
With the disappointment in this one, I don't think I'll be trying it again. Thankfully I still have my fav, but in the future will probably try others instead.
INGREDIENTS: Sodium Bicarbonate , Citric Acid , Seven Rosebuds (Rosa centifolia) , Rose Absolute (Rosa centifolia) , Geranium Oil (Pelargonium graveolens) , Lemon Oil (Citrus limonum) , Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum grandiflorum) , Orris Root Powder (Iris florentina) , Benzyl Salicylate , Geraniol , Citronellol , *Eugenol , *Linalool , *Limonene , Perfume
