Zoya Oswin vs Zoya Chyna

*Press Sample*

Hey y'all!  So as I was swatching the Fall Ultra PixieDusts, I noticed that Oswin may be similar to Chyna, from a previous collection.  I couldn't have been more wrong....so I did a comparison for y'all.

You can click on the links above to see swatches.  Other than the collage above, I'm going to just have macro shots in the remainder of this post.

Oswin - Not only does this have the "mega hex" glitters, which Chyna doesn't have, but it looks a little more of a berry red.

Chyna - In the macro, this does look like Oswin minus the "mega hex" glitters.  However, if you look at the collage above you can see that this is almost a blackened red.

I feel the differences are enough to warrant buying both, if you happen to want both.  I like Oswin, but I think I like Chyna better. :X

These are both available on Zoya.com for $10ea.

Stamping - Wet N Wild French White Creme vs Bundle Monster White

Hey y'all!  While testing out the Bundle Monster stamping polishes, I decided to test the white out up against Wet N Wild French Creme.  I'd not used it for stamping before, but it's pretty opaque on its own.  So, I grabbed my BM-414 plate and started playing.

I used BM Royal Blue(24) as my base, it's a cobalt jelly like polish.

Wet N Wild French Creme is on the middle and pinky fingers while BM Angelic White(1) is on the ring and index fingers.

Again, my stamping skills aren't the best, but you can see which is the clear winner here.

Stamping - Wet N Wild Black Creme vs Bundle Monster Black

Hey y'all!  I've had this done for a while and thought I'd posted it, but sadly I forgot.  Today I have a comparison post.  While I was playing around with the Bundle Monster Creative Art polishes I grabbed the Noir Black(13) and put it up against Wet N Wild Black Creme.

I started off with a base color of Electric Pink(21), which is a bright pink cream.  It dries flat, so I used Seche over top of it.

I used my BM-408 plate on the pinky and ring fingers and my BM-412 plate on the index and middle fingers.

Wet N Wild Black Creme was stamped on the middle and pinky fingers while Noir Black 13 was used on the index and ring fingers.

Please keep in mind that I'm not a stamping expert yet, so as you can see there are some blank spots in each of the images.

Cell phone macro shot of Noir Black.

As you can see, Noir Black is super opaque while Black Creme actually looks brown.  It's still a great stamping polish for something from the drugstore, but I really like the Bundle Monster black. :D

I Love Nail Polish - A Fresh Evergreen

Hey y'all!  So today is St. Patty's Day, but I have a Christmas polish to show off.  It is green, so yanno, it's safe.  :D  This is one of the two that I got with birthday money and the first ILNP polishes that I have owned.

A Fresh Evergreen is a GORGEOUS dark green linear holo.  All of the pictures are 3 coats with no topcoat.  Generally, I use a topcoat with all polishes, but this shined on its own.  I've never had an issue with topcoat dulling a holo.

On my thumb is Nubar Reclaim.  As you can tell, ILNP A Fresh Evergreen is a deeper green than Reclaim.  I love them both.

You can find this and all other ILNP polishes at ILNP.com.

And now I leave you with this....

May the luck of the Irish
Lead to happiest heights
And the highway you travel
Be lined with green lights.

May those who love us, love us;
And for those who don't love us,
May God turn their hearts;
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May He turn their ankles,
So we will know them by their limping!

Fly vs On The Beach

I have a comparison post for y'all today.  I rarely do this, but when I posted a cell pic of Deborah Lippmann On The Beach on my personal FB page, I had a friend ask if it was OPI Fly(which I showed y'all yesterday).  In some instances they do look like they could be similar.

Which always makes me think of this video.....

Anywho, I used 2 coats of each polish in the pics below & no top coat.

On The Beach is on my index and ring finger.  Fly is on my middle and pinky fingers.

OTB is more blue where Fly is more green.  I'm thinking of using both of them together in my vaca mani.  We'll see.  Hopefully I'll have that post done before I leave so I can post it Saturday.

Battle of the Oranges: Girly Bits Sailors Delight vs China Glaze Riveting

I'm going to keep this post as short as I possibly can.  While swatching Sailors Delight, I knew I had to compare it to Riveting, which I currently have on my toes.  I hate feet pics, so I took it off 2 fingers and threw Riveting on.

Sailors Delight (on my middle and pinky fingers) is a tomato-y orange with gold shimmer/sparkle.

Riveting (on my ring and index fingers) is a deeper coppery orange with a similar sparkle.

I used 2 coats of each color for the comparison.....

I definitely think they're different yet similar enough to own both.  And this is coming from someone who dislikes orange :D

LATER Y'ALL!!!

~ Note: Sailors Delight was sent for review, I purchased Riveting myself.

Ocean Blues

I really miss going to the beach.  My grandparents used to take me to Panama City Beach, FL every summer after school got out for a week.  I have some wonderful memories of that place.

My Aunt, Cousin, Grandfather, & Me.  I think this was 95 or 96.
That being said, it's no wonder that when I was looking through my stash I found not one, but FIVE different oceany blue-green colors.  I need to remember to stop getting these.  LoL

L to R: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Marine Scene, Wet N Wild Wild Shine - Don't Be A DUM DUM, NYC - Empire State Blue, Wet N Wild Fastdry - Teal or No Teal, and Sally Hansen InstaDri - Blue Streak

1 coat
Thumb: Marine Scene
Index: Don't Be A Dum Dum
Middle: Empire State Blue
Ring: Teal or No Teal
Pinky: Blue Streak

2 coats

3 coats
Out of all 5, I think that Blue Streak was the best and probably my favorite.  I could've really gotten away with one coat of it.  It leans more to green while Marine Scene leans more blue.

The 2 WnW's were extremely sheer and probably could have used a 4th or 5th coat.

The NYC was the more BLUE out of all of them.

Here's a picture of each finger next to the bottle.  It was kinda hard to get the bottles to sit still and snap a picture.

TOODLES Y'ALL!!!

Worth The Risque vs Hologram

Recently I picked up Color Club's Worth The Risque.  I wanted a beautiful silver holo and after looking at Scrangie's swatch, I just had to have it.  I was a little disappointed when I received it and swatched it HERE

Nowhere near the holoy goodness that she had, though it does have a tiny bit.  Then I was thinking that it reminded me of the China Glaze Hologram (from the Tronica collection) that I picked up recently.

Here's pics of the bottles to compare...

Since I already had Worth The Risque(WTR) on, I took it off of two nails and put Hologram(Holo) on.

Now while these are extremely close dupes, the formula's are not.  This is 2 coats of each.  I preferred WTR over Holo by leaps and bounds.  I could've gotten away with 1 coat of WTR, but went with two.  Holo was a pain in the bunt(as my son says).  The first coat was extremely patchy and the second didn't help much, but was better.

So, if I had to pick between the two, I'd pick WTR.

TOODLES Y'ALL!!!
