I have a serious addiction to purple polish. I'm not much of a purple clothing person....but I have a TON of purple polishes. I saw this on Apothica and had to add it to my stash.
This is described on DL's website as a "vivacious violet (creme)", but it's more of a jelly polish. I looked up swatches before I ordered....and forgot once I put it on my toes. Don't worry, no toe shots.
Here it is on my nails...
I needed 4 coats to get the results above. I didn't use any top coat because as a jelly it doesn't need it. You can see the reflection of my lens in the bottom picture. I did have a few splotchy spots but that's normal for a jelly. I will definitely have to layer this with some glitter or flakies.
This retails for $16.00 on Apothica.com

Deborah Lippmann Between The Sheets
Another scheduled post while I'm enjoying the beach. :D
I've had this polish for a while & I'm just now getting around to swatching it. As soon as I got it, it went on my toes & I was in love. LOVE, I say. I picked this up from Apothica & I'm happy I did.
Between The Sheets is a fuchsia cream that leans purple or pink depending on how the light hits it. Above is 2 coats with no top coat. It's SO SHINY!!! I love all my DL polishes so far and definitely need/want more.
This retails on Apothica.com for $16.00.

Essie - Going Incognito
Today I'd like to show you an Essie 2010 Holiday polish that I picked up from Apothica. This came out right around the time I was starting to get back into polish, but at that particular time I was hunting the elusive WnW Night Elf palette.
I adore greens and this is just another one that I'm now loving. It's almost a 1 coater, but I went with 2. I didn't even need any top coat as it's beautifuly shiney on its own. This beauty is a deep grassy green that's almost a teal.
I absolutely love it.
This retails for $8.00 on Apothica.com.

Essie Da Bush
Today I have for you a beauty that I picked up from Apothica. This is Essie's Da Bush from their 2011 Resort collection.
I don't really remember paying much attention to it when it came out, but I saw it in a clearance bin several months ago and giggled when I saw the name. I skipped it, but Apothica had it so I snagged it up in an effort to add lighter and more dusky shades to my collection.
I used 2 coats with no top coat as it dried pretty fast. I applied this in semi darkness while watching a movie and actually didn't do any clean-up. Da Bush is a dusky/gray/khaki green. At first I wasn't sure how I'd like it, but I actually LOVE it.
This retails for $8.00 on Apothica.com.

Deborah Lippmann On The Beach
I want to start by saying I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS COLOR!!!!! I was so excited when this became available on Apothica.
On The Beach is a perfect name. It reminds me of the blue you would see in beach house decorations. I wore this shopping in ATL a few weeks ago and the girls at Lush all stopped what they were doing to check out my nails. I was all giddy.
For my pictures, I had to use 3 coats as it is sort of a watery cream, not really jelly like, but more cream. It did even out after 2, but I felt better with 3. I can also state, as I've used this twice now, that if you mess up or get something on your nail, just brushing a little bit more color on will even it out. It settles nicely on the nail. I used a top of SH Insta-Dri to finish it off, but it doesn't really need anything for shine.
I've had this on for about 5 days now and have had 0 wear on it. In fact, I didn't take pics until about an hour ago. I really love this on its own, but I'm sure it will be even more amazing with some stamping over it.
This retails on Apothica.com for $16.00.

My first Deborah Lippman & a fail on my part
I just recently picked up my first DL polish and I'm so excited about it. I've been lemming several of the polishes for a while and most of them simply for the name. :D Yes, I will buy a polish JUST because I like the name.
Bitches Brew is one of those. I happen to love the color of this too! It's described as a deep, mysterious mulberry shade. To me, it looks similar to (please excuse my analogy) dried blood with shimmer. This is an opaque pearl though, but it looks like it has glitter in it.
I picked this up from Apothica.com and am very pleased with the company. I'll have a surprise for you from them on Friday :D
Any application mistakes you see in the pictures are either my fault or because of my gloopy top coat that needs thinning.
I had so many TC issues with this polish that I had to swatch it twice to get decent pictures. I really want to try some of the other solid colors and DEFINITELY some of the glitters.
Bitches Brew is such a fall color and, in my opinion, perfect for a witch costume for Halloween. :D And with the sudden weather change today in Georgia, I needed it. The temp was in the 60's all day.
