Hey y'all! I know it's still July, but I wanted to go ahead & get this over with. I'm still trying to get ahead with my blogging and this is on my LONG "to do" list.
I apologize for the crappy cell phone pic. |
Aussie Hair Insurance - This is my old standby for leave-in conditioner. I love Infusium23 as well, but I can usually find this cheaper. It smells great and works well. I tend to use this in my homemade beach spray also. The bottle is good for re-using as a spray bottle too.
Ion Color Brilliance - This is a permanent hair color in Medium Intense Red Blonde from Sally's. I'm a HUGE fan of the Ion developer, but this color....not so much. It's been so long since I used it that I can't remember how it turned out, but it's been sitting under my sink forever. To get rid of it, and use a refresher, I dumped the rest of the bottle in a huge bottle of conditioner that I'm trying to finish up as well. I've noticed it actually making a difference too. So, yay!
Tresemme Flawless Curls Mousse - I've had this particular container FOREVER. Simply because when my hair is shorter than it is now, I go straight. When it gets longer, it's just much easier to go curly. I've used this stuff for ages, even though it does give that dreaded crunchy curl that us curly girls hate. I'm working on a different mousse now, and plan to try to find(I know it's out there) one that doesn't give that crunch....but I will always use this because it's habit.
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes - I think I picked these up a while back at Target for dirt cheap using coupons. This is the last of the 3 packs that I bought...and boy am I glad they're gone. I know a LOT of people who swear by these, but I just can't use them. They work amazingly, but as soon as I go near my eyes it starts to burn. IDK what it is, but it's EVERY time. So to finish these up, I ended up using them to wipe make-up off my hands while applying it to my face or as a spot cleaner for brushes. I'm trying a different brand now, and so far so good.
Perlier Shower Cream - I finished up the Honey Miel & White Almond creams. You can see my review on these HERE. I really love these. The honey is just OMG amazing with a light smell that stays on your body all day.
Josie Maran GoGo Mascara - This is infused with Argan oil. Unfortunately, I didn't really get to use it enough to see how well it worked. It came in a kit from Sephora a few years ago & I used the mascara as soon as I got it. Only a few times, then it went into the container for my brow/lash products. It's so small that it was forgotten about and only used a few times before I noticed flaking on my lashes. So, I can't say either way if this is good or bad, but it was pretty. Sidenote, the brush is HUGE and is kinda triangle shaped(almost like a Christmas tree) off of the wand.
Deep Sea Cosmetics nail file - Another item from a kit I purchased AGES ago. The file was good while it lasted, but it's falling apart badly.
Slatkin & CO Sparkling Icicles - This is one of the last candles I have from my Black Friday sales last year at Bath & Body Works. It's nice, but a little too perfume-y for me which annoys my sinuses. "As sparkling and luminescent as icicles on a tree under a winter's moon, this fragrance combines moss, bergamot with the perfect finishing touch - a citrus bouquet."
Bath & Body Works Espresso Bar - I smelled this in store & had to have it. Got it home, lit it, and was like "Where's the smell?!?!?!" After about an hour, I just blew it out and put the lid back on it. When I finished the above candle, I knew I had to finish this one up so I could use the container and not waste product. When I did, the entire house smelled like a coffee shop. "In Italy, you never take your coffee "to go" - instead you stop and savor the aromas of roasted espresso beans and sweet vanilla froth that inspired this fragrance." Thankfully I was smart enough to snag 2 of these. :D
Dial For Men Hair & Body Wash - There's no scent listed on this, but it says Ultimate Clean and has an orange label. THe kiddo loved using this because it was one product for his hair and body. I think because it smells like cologne(but not heavy or overpowering) that it makes him feel like a big boy. I can't remember how much it was, but I got it at either Wal-Mart or Target.
Bath & Body Works Plumeria Shower Gel - Another BBW shower gel that doesn't moisturize well because it's the old formula. I love the classic smell of the plumeria, but not that its drying on me.
Well, that's it for my July empties. I thought I'd used up more than I had. I'm already starting to come to the end of a few products, so I think next months post will be WAY longer.
