My July 4th mani!

I'm going to admit, up front, that this isn't as great as I'd thought it would be.  I'd had this planned for months, but couldn't find a certain polish I was looking for.....so I had to go with something else.  That being said, it's still cute.

Here's what I used....
Zoya America, China Glaze First Mate, KleanColor Silver Star($0.01 from Copious), Revlon Royal, and ManGlaze Mayonnaise.

Here's the pictures, I'll tell you what I did after....

I <3 this cup from Wal-Mart!

Ok, so on all but my accent nail, I started out with 2 coats of ManGlaze Mayo, no top coat as I wished to keep it matte.  Then I semi-successfully used the spun sugar method over top using Zoya America.  My accent finger is 1 coat of China Glaze First Mate, 1 coat of KleanColor Silver Star, and 1 coat of Revlon Royal.  I didn't use any top coat as I didn't want to smear the red.

I think I would have liked it more had I not had to actually apply some of the stripes with the dotting tool I used since America wouldn't get stringy on me.

I hope everyone has a safe & wonderful 4th.  Make sure to stay hydrated and use SUNSCREEN!  I'll most likely just be chilling at the house just to stay in the A/C.
