Firstly, I actually had a totally different mani in mind when I did this. I was going to do a purple gradient. That was until I remembered I had Revlon Royal in my untrieds drawer. I have no pictures of it alone because there are already a TON out there. I might get around to it one day, but for now I have this.
For this mani, I used Revlon Royal & Finger Paints Motley.
The pictures above are after 3 days of wear. The layering is as follows:
- 1 coat of OPI Nail Envy
- 2 coats of Revlon Royal
- 2 coats of Finger Paints Motley
- 1 coat of Revlon Royal
- 1 coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat
Yes, 7 layers. I only allowed a few minutes between coats. Unfortunately it did take a while for me to do this because I was exhausted and had had very little sleep. This looks like water to me. I love looking at it and really dread taking it off.
These look so lush! Really eye-catching, and the texture is beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I really loved it.
DeleteOhhhh I love this!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a stunning combo! I love blue manicures, I'm definitely going to have to give this a go!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I still have it on my toes. LOVING it.
Deletewow this is really pretty. how on earth did you get it to dry? if I use more than four or five coats I can't get it to dry
ReplyDeleteI topped it with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri and waited a little bit. I've had horrible insomnia lately, so I watched SATC while it dried.
DeleteLOVE IT!!! 7 Coats??? You are one hardcore lady!!!
