piCture pOlish - VooDoo

WARNING:  There are a LOT of pictures in this post and a lot of rambling, so if you don't want to read please scroll to take a look at this beauty!  Also, don't forget to hover over words to see links or click pictures to see the larger image.

Today I'm excited to be a part of a Blog Fest held by piCture pOlish.  Not only do they sell the gorgeous OZTIC's that we all drool over, but they have their own line!  I saw some swatches ages ago & instantly became a fan & was ecstatic when they sent an email asking for bloggers to participate.  I literally squealed when they replied saying I was one of the many bloggers worldwide chosen to show off their unique colors.

I didn't get to choose, but was so hoping for Vampire which you can see HERE.  I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed when I was informed I'd be getting Voodoo, but it would've been my 2nd choice.  Upon browsing their site looking at colors, songs instantly popped in my head when reading the names.  Voodoo by Godsmack has been stuck in my head since I got the email.  Side note, Sully is just HAWT!!!

Voodoo is a Glitter shade & is described as "not quite red not quite brown" and I completely agree.  The cute little saying above the name on the label says "see the darkness feel the magic!"

Don't let the pictures of the bottle fool you.  If you're thinking "this is brown/purple with gold glitter", you're completely wrong.  I've wore it several times since receiving it & even had to email asking if there was supposed to be any gold glitter on the nail.  Their response was "That’s why we called it Voodoo as this shade magically changes from bottle to nail!!"

Now be prepared to be overloaded with yummy vampy deliciousness.

See the gold/green shimmer in the bottle.....not on the nail!!!

Note to self:  Don't test a new top coat when doing swatches!  I kinda messed up the TC application on my index finger and pinky.

This went on great and evenly in 2 coats.  The first coat looked like a berry color then 2nd coat made it look like a sparkly beautiful dark wine.  I'll have another post in a few days showing a couple of polishes layered over this.  When the budget allows, I plan to order all the Dark Shades including Vampire as well as all of the other glitters, metallics, and new shades.

You can see all of their collection and other polishes they sell at their website HERE.  Also, be sure to "like" them on Facebook HERE to see the other swatches from the Blog Fest.  The piCture pOlish line sells for $9.90AUD which I believe is roughly $10.76USD.

Disclaimer:  The product in this post was sent to me by the company for review and for the purpose of their Blog Fest.  This in no way altered my opinion/review of this product.

TOODLES Y'ALL!!!

  6. Lol Neeka. I even asked a few friends if they had a voodoo doll just to use as a prop & nobody had one.

Erika, they're beautiful. I forgot to mention they're 11ml and the handle has a slight rubberized feeling.

  9. Honestly, I like Voodoo about a million times better than Vampire! It achieves the same type of look but it is MUCH more interesting!
