Hey y'all! Yeah, you read that title correctly. I'm FINALLY showing the holiday collection. I honestly have no excuse as to why it took this long. I've had these for a while....and the swatches have been done since before Christmas. So without babbling, lets get to it.
As usual, I used a coat of Seche Vite over all of these.
Tip Your Hat - 2 coats - A red cream, almost a brick ruby red.
Out Like A Light - 2 coats - Smokey lead gray cream with a subtle shimmer. This could easily be a 1 coater.
Define Good...- 2 coats - Berry metallic shimmer.
I'd Melt For You - 2 coats - Very shimmery metallic silver chrome.
December To Remember - 2 coats - Denim blue, almost metallic, with a slight silver & purple shimmer.
No Peeking! - 2 coats - Smokey eggplant purple metallic with a pink & blurple shimmer.
Pine-ing For Glitter - 2 coats - Forest green glitter in a clear base. The glitters are super tiny and this isn't densely packed, so it's best when layered. Though for 2 coats it's pretty opaque.
Feeling Twinkly - 3 coats - Teeny tiny blue glitters in a clear base. This also would be best when layered.
Dancing & Prancing - 3 coats - Multi-colored glitter. From what I can see, there are copper, pink, blue, green, and silver glitters.
De-Light - 3 coats - Gold & holographic bar glitters in a clear base.
Meet Me Under The Stars - 2 coats - China Glaze states this is holo glitter in a black base, but I found it to be more of a sheer charcoal base with black & silver glitters. Either way, it does look appropriately named. Like a galaxy.
Chillin' With My Snow-Mies - 1 coat - Layered over Meet Me Under The Stars. Various sized matte white hex glitters in a clear base.
While I showed the glitters alone, except for Chillin With My Snow-Mies, I think they would look better layered over a solid base or even used in a glitter gradient. I kinda expected the glitters to be chunky and annoying....they so weren't.
I do like the shades in this collection, but it's not my fav holiday collection from China Glaze. I'm still hoping for a red and/or green version of Angel Wings or Glistening Snow(which I still need to get). Maybe even a blue one too. Heck, just go ahead and do all the shades like those two.
Make this holiday one to remember with the China Glaze® Twinkle collection, available in November 2014 at fine beauty supply stores and salons nationwide including Sally Beauty and Ulta (individual shades MSRP $7.50).
