Hey y'all! I've been a fan of Zoya since early in my blogging days. I've always somehow missed out on their original mattes. So, when I saw they were doing the re-release I was SUPER excited. If you don't have these, I'm telling you now that you NEED them.
These applied amazingly & super easy. I'm sure you could get away with 1 coat on these, but I went with 2. The drying time on these was only slightly longer than most matte polishes. I also didn't use top coat, BUT I did notice that when I applied cuticle oil before removal that they looked pretty "wet" so to speak. So I'm not sure if a top coat would make them look any different than the cuticle oil did, but I took pictures with the oil on too.
Dovima - Can be best described as a smoky charcoal-black with strong silver shimmer and a velvety matte finish. The shimmer in this gives it a little something extra. It's not just a flat shade. It's not black, but more of that charcoal hue.
Harlow - Can be best described as a rich, saturated rose plum packed with sparkling metallic shimmer in a velvety matte finish. The shimmer gives this a little something extra as well. I like how Zoya says it's a rose plum & my notes I just simply wrote "purply pink". It's so pretty!
Loredana - Can be best described as a medium gunmetal grey, packed with a silvery shimmer and a velvety matte finish. It might look close to Dovima, BUT there is a difference. There's a TON more shimmer in this to help it look more gunmetal grey than charcoal black.
Posh - Can be best described as a medium cool-toned wine red with metallic red shimmer and a velvety matte finish. This is such a pretty red, that almost has a berry look when it's "wet".
Savita- Can be best described as a bold, vibrant medium purple with strong red and gold shimmer with a velvety matte finish. The shimmer on this looks more pink to me, but it's still gorgeous. Savita looks totally different "wet" than it does matte and I love it.
Veruschka - Can be best described as a deep evergreen garnished with strong metallic shimmer in a velvety matte finish. When I put this on my nails I instantly fell in love. Then when I put the cuticle oil over it....OMG I was in heaven. When matte, the shimmer looks kinda silver...but when wet, it's all festively green.
I highly suggest getting all of these while you can, but if you only have the chance to get a few I definitely suggest Veruschka, Posh, and Savita.
These retail for $9 each or $54 for the entire set. You can find these as well as the new matte top coat & lipstick HERE.
