Sally Hansen Pacific Blue

Hey y'all!  I know I'm kinda late to the game with this, but oh well.  If you're a polish addict & saw the drama surrounding this during the summer, you know why I had to have it.  And now that I have it, I'm wondering why it took me so long.  If you didn't see the drama....be glad.

Apparently this, and a few others, were being discontinued or reformulated(I honestly can't remember which) by Sally Hansen and polish fans were NOT happy.  I think that in the end they decided to keep the original, but it caused people to run out and snag up every one that they could find.

After looking at this, how could you NOT want backups upon backups.  It's a GORGEOUS Greek Blue Cream that is to die for.  Not literally of course.

It's so gorgeous that EVERY single one of the 40 pictures I took were perfect.  It was difficult to get it down to 5 & there was no way I could cut any more out.

Thankfully, because I forgot to look for this every time I went to the drugstore, my wonderful friend Amanda(who is a fellow polish addict) snagged it for me when she went.

This could easily have been a 1 coat polish, but I used 2 along with a top coat.

I'm using this as a base for some glitters here soon, so you'll be seeing this again.  I absolutely LOVE it & I'm glad I grabbed it.

  1. I have the original and love it so much. So sad that they changed the color to something entirely different and not as awesome.

  2. The didn't keep the gorgeous original version. Sadly they kept the 2nd, much darker, much sheerer and with a shimmer.....nothing like the original which totally sucks. You can find the original version on ebay selling for $16-$20 each. How disgusting is that?! I'm so glad I have a couple of bottles and will never sell them lol. Sally Hansen also has another discontinued polish that sells on ebay for astronomical prices....Hidden Treasure. It's a holographic flakie that is duped by several brands like Essie Shine of the Times, Nubar 2010, Color Club Snow Flakes and a few others. I have the Essie and the Nubar ones...plus I have all of the Finger Paints flakies so I'm a happy camper lol.
