So yesterday I showed y'all some swatches of some of the Avant Garden collection. Last weekend I wore Dandy Lyin' Around the entire weekend and just before I went to swatch these, I chipped the polish off the corner of a nail. I can't even remember how I did it either.
Of course, I wanted to do some nail art and thought, "Lets do something that will cover and use Dandy Lyin' Around as the base so I don't have to take this off and re-do it for pictures." I go to YouTube looking for a watercolor tutorial & 99% of them were just saran wrap mani's, NOT WATERCOLOR. Suddenly I remembered my friend Jen did a tutorial on her blog which you can see HERE.
I started off with 2 coats of Dandy Lyin' Around then just followed her instructions and used the remainder of the polishes that I have.....Tart-y For The Party, Mimosa's Before Mani's, Budding Romance, Passion For Petals, and Sunday Funday. Covered it with a top coat and I was done.
This was my first time doing a watercolor mani & I told y'all I want to do more nail art. This was SOOOOOOOOO easy. I found a tutorial on YT to do this with acrylic paints so I might give that a go as well. Either way, I'll definitely be using this technique more.
What do y'all think?
Be sure to check back here tomorrow to see some nail art I did with these polishes!
~ Note: These polishes were sent to review for my 100% honest opinion.
Adorable! I want you to do my nails!!! :)
