L to R: Ulta Devious, Zoya Mira, Color Club Uptown Girl, Maybelline Goody Plum Drop, Zoya Marley |
This is 2 coats of each shade with ChG Fast Forward Top Coat. I didn't notice until application that Goody Plum Drop seems to have a slight shimmer to it, but not too noticeable.
Thumb: Ulta Devious
Index: Zoya Mira
Middle: Color Club Uptown Girl
Ring: Maybelline Goody Plum Drop
Pinky: Zoya Marley
Then I wanted to see what it looked like with ChG Matte Magic on top
You can't really see too much of a difference on Marley, but it's still pretty. Then, I freehanded a french of ChG Fast Forward on the tips.
What do y'all think?
TOODLES Y'ALL!!!
I like it! I think i'm gona do it in blue or green :)
ReplyDeleteSee, purple is the key to my heart so you had me there. Then you matted it, which opens the door. Then you went and topcoated the tips and made it abso-freakin-lutely awesome! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteLoL Melissa.
ReplyDeletePretty! One of my first blog posts ever was an ombre in blue! My issue is always that I want to do them in cremes (I just think they look better that way) and I have wayyy more glitter! I am loving your purple! And the matte/glossy combo is great!
ReplyDeleteI saw a YouTube video the other day where she took one color then mixed it with white or black to get the lighter and darker shades. I may try that sometime. Especially since I own very few cremes in the same color family.
ReplyDeleteI didn't care for this...until you did the matte + tips. Now I love it! I like the more bold color ombre, too....not just slight variations of the same hue, but a seriously purple punch!
ReplyDeleteThat looks fantastic in purple!!
ReplyDeleteI'm actually loving the matte version :D Nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks y'all. Yeah, I definitely liked the matte version better. This is what happens when I get bored & play around. LoL
ReplyDeletei love it :-)

I like your ombre manicure! :) Not only is it pretty, but it's a good way to compare colours, too.
