Project get rid of crap....

While my son & I are having a sick day, I figured I'd post this.

I've seen some YT'ers calling it "Project Pan", but I'm different.  The theory behind this is to use anything up that you've "hit pan" or started seeing the bottom of the container on.  It's good to do this periodically and well I've not done it in a while because not everything that I have an over-abundance of is make-up.  I've kept my stuff on my vanity rather than putting it on my new shelf to make sure I remember to use it all up.  You can check out Legally Brunette214's blog if you're curious.

I switch my shampoo/conditioner often and sometimes I'm not finished using what I already have before I have to try something else.  I'm currently going back & forth between my Suave Professional's Almond & Shea Butter set and my Aussie Cleanse & Mend set.  Anything else that's under the sink, minus my Ojon, is currently being used up by the men in the house.  I'm happy to say that one bottle of shampoo is gone & another one is close.  Next up for them is a BIG bottle of the Tresemme that's prolly half full.  I'll most likely end up trashing my conditioner that I don't use because ALL of it leaves my hair feeling waxy and weighs it down.

My Clinique 3 step system is almost gone finally.  I just recently finished step 1, the cleanser.  I finished step 2, the toner up a few weeks ago and trashed that bottle.  Step 3, the moisturizer is all that's left.  It's going to take me a while to finish that up because I don't use it often.  My skin gets overly oily, so IF I do moisturize it's at night and not often.

Another item I finished just the other day was a HUGE bottle of Ojon Revitalizing Mist.  I was trying to save the last little bit for any special occasion hair, but said forget it.  I need to purge.  I'd rather use stuff up than trash it.  If I could afford to buy another bottle of it, I definitely would.  I'm absolutely in LOVE with that stuff, and it's multi-purpose.

I recently found a container of the Glade Carpet Fresh under my kitchen sink that I thought I'd finished, so I started working on that the other day & finished it all.

Shockingly I have a small jar/bottle of Frizz Ease that I remember getting a decade or so ago.  It still works, and rather than throwing it out, I'm using it too.

I'm almost finished using some Calista Tools products that I bought from QVC a few years ago.  They'd gotten rid of this kit & it looks like they've recently brought it back.  For curly hair, I definitely recommend this.  It doesn't make your hair all stiff and crunchy.  It tames the frizz as well.

2 more products I'm close to finishing are Almay Oil Free eye makeup remover pads & Bare Escentuals RareMinerals Skin Revival night Treatment.

One set of items I'm having issues using up is lotions.  I don't always remember to use them.  I have 4 different ones from Bath & Body works, LOVE the scent of them, but they don't really moisturize that well.  I have to reapply every hour or so and for someone who forgets to take daily vitamins it's not happening.  I have a few other brands of lotions too that I'm trying to finish up but it's taking forever.  I recently found a body butter from ELF that I LOVE, so I've moved it off of my desk.  In its place is now 2 small sized lotions that I need to get rid of.  One is Bliss Naked Body Butter that I got as a birthday gift from Sephora one year and the other is Soap & Glory's Great Shakes hand cream.  I love both of them, but I need to finish them up and get them out of my house.  The Great Shakes is one I'd definitely re-purchase. (EDIT:  I just finished the Great Shakes lotion a few hours after drafting this post.  OMG it smells great)

I also have some body spray's that need to be used up.  I haven't purchased any in a long time for that reason.  Any new items are sample's only.

So far, I'm going pretty good in keeping this up.  I'm not trying to make room for new crap.  I'm trying to get rid of the stuff that either I'm not that happy with and don't want to trash it or stuff that I am happy with and it's just too expensive to re-purchase and I need to get it out of the way.  This way I can keep up with the stuff I DO like and have a ton of room.

What do you have too much of?

TOODLES Y'ALL!!!
