Hot Mess Lacquers - Redheaded Step-Child....and GO DAWGS!!!

I'm so happy to show y'all this polish today.  When I found this on Copious, it was the first one I snagged.  Mainly because, well, I am a Redheaded Step-Child.  Not to mention it has my fav colors.  And because the Georgia Bulldogs college football season officially starts tomorrow, I needed it badly!!

For my base coats, I used one coat of OPI Nail Envy & one coat of Orly Bonder.  For my thumb and ring finger I applied 1 coat of Wet N Wild Black Creme with 2 coats of Hot Mess Redheaded Step-Child.  For all other fingers I applied 3 coats of RSC.  I topped that off with a coat of Gelous and a coat of China Glaze Fast Forward top coat.

Love this keychain!

Redheaded Step-Child is a red jelly base with small red glitter, medium red hex glitter, and small black hex glitter.  I didn't use any red underwear on the 3 fingers as I wanted to see how true of a red the jelly base is and I <3 it.  I want a pure red jelly polish SO BAD!!!  Not saying that I don't like this one, but I want a plain red jelly too.  I had no issues with the polish and even without top coat it's just as shiny.

Description from the Etsy shop:
  • When I was a child my mother used to call me her Freckle-Faced Strawberry, and when she remarried I became a true redheaded step-child! As much as I personally like it, I'm sure you'll be delighted with this black and red glitter in a delicious strawberry purée. Looks tasty with underpants and without!

**EDIT 9/9/13 - Hot Mess Lacquers is now defunct and this post is for archive purposes only.**

Note ~ This polish was paid for in part by a credit from Copious, I paid the difference.
