Eye Make-up Remover Review

Here I'll be reviewing 3 products I've used.  All 3 of these I believe are under $10.  You can get these easily at any store, but don't quote me on that.  Below is a picture of the 3.  Almay Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover Pads (I found these a while back at Costco in a bulk pack), Boots Expert Sensitive Gentle Eye Make-Up Removal Lotion (I found this and other Boots products at Target), and lastly Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover Lotion.  This is simply my experience with these products.

First we have the Almay Oil Free pads.  I found these at Costco a while back and I think it was a pack of 2 or 4.  These are pretty decent.  They do the job, but for me, I have to almost scrub & use more than one per eye to get everything off.  The one good thins about these is that the product is included on the pad, you don't need separate cotton balls or cotton pads.  I most likely will not buy these again when I do run out.

Secondly, we have the Boots brand Expert Sensitive gentle eye make up remover.  I simply do not like this.  It takes the everything other than mascara off really well.  My problem is that I have really oily eyelids and this leaves a film of oil behind kind of like baby oil.  I wish I had my receipt, because I'd definitely be taking this back.  I'll see if my sister wants this or use it when I'm out of anything.

Last, but not least, we have Neutrogena eye makeup remover lotion.  I have to say this is the best thing I've EVER tried.  I used this at my sister's & fell in love immediately.  I used one of her square cotton pads and used one side for each eye.  This took EVERYTHING off with no residue left behind & I didn't have to waste more than one cotton pad.  Also, a little bit goes a LONG way.  I loved this so much that I had to go to Target tonight to get my own.  I will definitely be buying this over & over again.

As I said, this is just my experience with these products.  I have skin that starts out looking fine, but becomes very oily, especially my eyelids so I try not to put junk all over them.  If you're looking for a facial cleanser that is completely safe for eyes and does a good job of removing everything...try Purity Made Simple by Philosophy (Sephora, www.philosophy.com, or some Ulta's).  I absolutely LOVE that stuff.  It ranges from about $10.00 for 3oz. - $45.50 for 32oz.  That is another product where a little bit goes a long way.  It's safe enough for almost every skin type as well as to clean your make-up brushes.

If you have a product that you like, let me know or leave comments below.
